Hockinheimring Short lap times

Post your lap times here

Can people also post if they are using a wheel/controller, manual/ manual-with-clutch and if they're using a wheel with clutch, are they using clutch pedal with shifter or clutch on button with paddles etc.

I just want to copy some of the faster guys' setups, just so I have only myself to blame ...

Going to try manual with clutch tonight, starting with using a button on the wheel for the clutch with paddle shifters. Not confident that using the clutch pedal and the 6-speed shifter will be fast enough.

Which Fanatec wheel config are you using? As some models have auto clutch with an updated firmware.

Thanks - I'll give that firmware a try tonight. It appears that using the clutch via a button on the wheel is pretty uncomfortable.

Thanks. got the wheel upgraded trying outthe auto-clutch feature. Instantly took over a second off my Iberian lap-times. Now trying to work out why I'm not seeing my ghost laps(a non-unknown problem with F4, I understand) , which would give me something to race against at Hockenheim.

I ran the Hockenheim Short run in Test Run to set the lap, I don't know if this counts, but I set a 1:17.869. Do I need a video to prove this or can I just leave it at that?

You don't need to prove it man, it's only to get a good idea of what lap times people are running. From my experience you can either take it as face value or simply ignore it if someone posts a ridiculous time

Ah right, ok, I managed to improve to a 1:17.111 but no faster than that. I lap around the 1:17.500 mark.

I've just given it a go, 1:15.1xx with manual/clutch etc

I've got 1:16.5xx using a controller, manual gears but no clutch. I think I might get another 2 tenths off that but no more.

Proves how tired I was last night.. Done the wrong track!

I hate front wheel drive with a passion.

Got it down to 1:16.2xx.

1:14.6 is an awesome time, I don't think I'll be able to get within a second of that.

I managed a 1.16.035 still looking for those few seconds and not sure were to find them

I can drive FWD sort of okay, I just know people that do it a lot faster and I just hate the way you have to drive them. I'm also much quicker in RWD.

I reckon my perfect time would be a 1:14.4, I just need to get the first corner and the last two corners perfect on the same lap.

1:14.1.... no idea how, can we adjust tyre pressures?

Had a tinker with my tire pressures, 1:14.253. And that's my limit.
