In Memory of The Track Marshal

Sadly today at the canadian grand Prix a Marshal was killed whilst retrieving the Sauber. I will be making a Decal and will be running it on my car for LeMans in memory of the Track Marshal. If you want one and would wish to run it on your car msg me. RIP.

Awful, tragic news.

This is the first time since 2001 that a track worker has been killed at a Grand Prix, and it's a shame that it had to happen under such circumstances, after a Grand Prix, when the track is meant to be safe.

RIP to the marshal, and thoughts are with his family.

Dropped a radio and went to pick it up. Crane driver didnt see him.

As a marshal it is terrible to hear such news. Generally, motorsport is a heck of a lot safer than it used to be, even since 2001.
The fact it wasn't even as a result of on track 'action' as in Italy 2000 or Australia '01 is even worse. Remember that all marshals are volunteering their time to race meetings. More often as not they are thin on the ground and have to cover quite a large area. Bearing in mind we do this purely for our love of the sport it is always terrible to hear fo a death in the ranks.
