Need help picking a car
so, in a few months it's my senior formal (prom), and I (being the petrol head of the grade) decided to look for a car for me and my 'date'. below are some links to different sites i've found with cars to hire for the night. saw some and may have cried with excitement.
so far we have a 1966 Mustang convertable
1958 Chevrolet Biscayne
1957 Belair
1954 Mark I Ford Zephyr
1947 Black Chevrolet Fleetmaster
these cars are amazing, will update when i find more, they are around $220/hour, but that is so worth it!!!!
so far, mustang is my pick, but what is your guys thoughs??
legitimately drooling at the moment

Re: Need help picking a car
Is the Fleetmaster convertible? If so I'd pick that, otherwise the Mustang.
There's a guy down my road who owns a pink Biscayne (or at least did, I haven't seen it in a while) Absolutely massive the thing is

Had a Black 1957 Bel air and White 56 Bel air for my wedding (very cool). I probably go 57 Bel air. But then again Convertible Mustang also very cool.

Re: Need help picking a car
Which hand is your date?
In all seriousness, I'd go with the Bel Air. It seems to be the more flashier car out of the bunch. Or pick the Jaguar just so you can look expensive.

My hands don't like the feeling of that.
And a double date, I see?

Bel Air... I haven't been able to fit into the backseat of a Mustang since I was about 10. They may be sporty, but Mustang rear seats are infamously small.

Jesus. Classy no matter what you pick. Prom for me consisted of a coach picking us all up at the school's parish church, then getting absolutely s*itfaced on the way into town. Couldn't see straight during the dinner, it was mad.

Re: Need help picking a car
My prom travelled in Mk2 GT40
Racing is life, anything before or after is just waiting
Re: Need help picking a car
was that before they were made famous at Le Mans?
I'm joking, i'm envious!
i've always wanted to go in a mustang, escpecially the '65, but the '66 will have to do, or one of the dad's from footy's XP Falcon
unfortunately the cars i'd REALLY wanna arrive in aren't avaliable atm, or cost more than the whole formal (an Aston Martin for $16,000 for the day!!!!!!!!!!!)

Re: Need help picking a car
I went to prom in a Lamborghini LM002, one of 300 and of only 5 in the UK (or about that number). Gun metal grey with a truck horn, had to refuel it every 30 miles. Being basically a suped Hummer with a Lambo badge, it got more looks than the Ferrari 360 in front
They're not actually that expensive any more, only about £50k, but you spend more running it anyway
