Lets Race 2 Reality
Lets Race are proud announce the beginning of an exciting new championship which will see one lucky driver walk away with a truly incredible prize.
The prize - A full test in an F3 at Pembrey race circuit with the world leading junior formula race team Carlin. With the support of the Carlin engineers and mechanics, experience an unbelievable day. It could be your first step to racing reality!
LR2R Information
John Surtees, Founder of Henry Surtees Foundation - "Henry had his first ever track experience in a kart at Buckmore at the age of 8 and went on to drive with Carlin in Formula BMW and Formula 3. The team has been at the forefront of developing young driver talent and share in success with them. The days of big test programmes on race tracks in Formula 1 are over. Today the simulator plays a major part in the research and development of cars and in giving drivers experience of the car and circuits. The Lets Race initiative in creating this championship and opportunity for would-be young drivers is unique. The opportunity to compete at the simulation centre and the top drivers to then go to a shoot-out at the famous Buckmore Park Kart Circuit in order to qualify for further evaluation with Trevor Carlin and his team in order for the winner to get a full day of testing in a Formula 3 car, is something that one would normally only dream of."
Carlin - "Carlin are one of the largest racing teams outside Formula 1, producing race winners in several levels of junior motorsport. Feeding drivers into Formula 1, over a third of the 2014 F1 grid have previously raced with Carlin. The team has won over 160 races to date and counts drivers such as Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Chilton and Kevin Magnussen amongst its alumni. The team currently competes in GP2 Series, GP3 Series, FIA Formula 3 European Championship and the British F3 Series."
