Florida Newb Checking In

Been a casual racer since Gran Turismo in the late 90s. (Unless you count all the quarters spent on Super Offroad a decade before) I stuck with GT until FM4, and thats when I started to REALLY get into it. Now I'm loving FM5 and looking to take things to the next level. I'm not the fastest out there, but I have fun keeping up the rear. I actually just recently decided to switch from auto to manual/clutch and was going to work on ABS next. Good thing, since I didn't realize that was a requirement (and STM) here. (Had to register before I could view the rules) BUT, I figure I can get to know the community and how things work around here for a while before I'm ready to jump into the action anyway. Look forward to seeing your tail lights soon!

Thanks everyone. By the way... why on earth did I ever use ABS or STM to begin with? Ran a few laps last night with/without for comparison... didn't even notice a difference. Other than stopping WAY too short on turns for a while. But thats a good thing, lol. Other than that, I think I was already using proper technique so was just giving away free time for no reason. Didn't have much time to get practice in before the draft, but already cut a few seconds off. I'll be ready to race sooner than I thought.
