A new guy.

Post by SGTCONOR1 on Thu 7 Aug 2014 - 16:23

Title is pretty much spot on.

Anyways, cutting to the chase.

My name is Conor, I am from Ireland (GMT +0) and I have reasently got a hold of Forza 4(Thanks to SOMEONE pestering me so much, Josh. Razz ) and gained a bit of interest in TORA from what I have heard about it.

Recently I used to play Gran Turismo 5 till the PS3 crapped out and Forza's handling physics are way more different to what I am used to.  Right now you can call me a rookie and I'm one of those guys who is a speed freak which isn't much of a good thing but hopefully that habit will be kicked to the kerb when I start to participate and get to grips with what goes and doesn't go(Wrecklessness for one.)

My interests, motorsports wise is mostly WRC to BTCC mostly due to the games and on TV. (Codemasters Colin McRae Rally and ToCA series on the PS1).  Soooo yeah, tried to make this interesting(Probably not  Laughing ) at least.

I would also like to know if there are any current events I would be able to join or if there is a way I can practice with someone who has abit of experience just to get a little helping hand and evaluate my driving. Smile  Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome ATR.

I do have a few questions I would like to ask.

Are there any beginner events, or do you just sign up for anything that comes up? (Let alone any I can be able to join at this moment in time to get a taste? )

What about Decals and livery's, anything specific?

Well, we don't have any specific beginners events. However, we do currently have Spec Cups running for Forza 4 & 5, depending on which platform you primarily race on. Whether that is the XBOX 360 or XBOX One.
We also have the Touring Car Championship up and running which is proving to be extremely popular. I think these two would be ideal for someone like yourself who's looking to get up to speed on Forza.

We don't peg back on the liveries. The only thing that isn't allowed is offensive or colourful language. If you need number boxes for a specific series, we are more than happy to provide you with some.

I hope this helps mate.
By the way, it's Dan not ATR! #lol  Razz  Razz

s Hunty said, Spec Cup is a great place to start out. While not truly a beginner's series, it has a spec build, limited tuning, and lots of new racers.

Spec cup is always good, but with the depth of racers abilities we have at TORA if you like the looks of a series don't be afraid to sign up. There will always be somebody for you to have a good race against!

Oh and welcome to TORA dude! cheers
