TORA Radio - Birthday Special!

It's that time of month again. TORA Radio is back and it's a Birthday Special as TORA turns a Magnificant Seven!
Live on Downforce Radio from 10.30pm we will be inviting you all to tell us about your best races at TORA, your best memories, great rivalries, favourite cars or liveries pretty much anything!
This thread will be the best place to get involved with the show but also get in touch via @TheReal_TORA and @DownforceUK on Twitter to let us know about your TORA experiences over the past seven years.

We'll be discussing out favourite games and more on the show but we want to hear from YOU!

I've only been here for 2 years and have had some great racing moments, some fun and some bad. I do remember vividly the Sebring 12h and racing for about an hour with jenson09 with an Aston showdown. One of the favourite liveries I've seen on track has got to be the Team FailRace Endurance Gallardo from Silverstone's 12h this year.

Some of my favourites will be coming in the show - but I was always a sucker for the M&M Racing Merc SLS from TORA GT. The Rizla livery always looked amazing.

Makes me feel really old because I've been part of TORA for six of the last seven years. #lol

There's been so many good memories that it's really hard to try & remember them all. But the best two were clinching mine & Matt's (TORA President) first title when we won both the drivers & teams championship in the 2009 TORA GT Championship using the Maserati Gransport. Also, being able to drive the Lola Aston Martin was truly special as it's one of my all time favourite race cars.

The rivalry in which I enjoyed the most was in the 2009 TORA GT's with PLOW The Butcher. It was a hard fought series and the battle between both and us and the championship went right down to the final round. It was a slow start to the championship but once we dialed the Maserati in, we were quite close for pace. And to win the championship and beat such a talented driver was a fantastic achievement.

Favourite cars & liveries? No question! By far & away, it's the Gulf liveried Lola Aston Martin. We used the car for three seasons starting in the 2011 TORA ISCC and we managed to achieve a race victory in the first season which was pretty amazing. However, the following year, success was flowing for us as we claimed 3 championships (including the unofficial ISCC Asia series) and all together taking 12 victories is far greater than I had anticipated. Not just this, but to my recollection, I'm the only person in TORA history to have either claimed a race win or championship in the Lola Aston so I'm really proud of that record.
The car had such an impact on TORA which I don't think can be replicated ever again. Just listening to everyone's reaction whilst competing in a race, with its loud & screaming V12 engine was such a delight.

Certainly was a bloody good car that!

Remember the dominating PLOW minis in the TCC and the sheer speed of WWR chillz. Feels like it was only yesterday....

best experience in the past 5 years i've been here, or the one that sticks in my memory the most, was the back-and-forth battle ATR DAN and I had in the TORA GT in '09 at Sebring, and the finish was no larger than 50 ft. And as Chaddy mentioned, WWR Chillz was a monster! he made everyone look like they were standing still. There's also having my Mushroom Kingdom Racers team finish 3rd in GTE in the 24 Heures Du Mans event last year.

I don't have a favorite car, but i remember F4H's rainbow-esque Porsche from the Sebring 12hr race in, i think it was 2013...

I remember when I joined as a privateer in TORA in the Spec Cup. I had an enjoyable moment in the Golf Mk1s and it was also in my 3rd race when I achieved Lobby A for the first time ever. I was last and slow but the fact I got there moved me to tears!

if i recall Chaddy, after 9 hours, the gap was less than 20 ft.
but this was back when the stints were 2hr55, not 1hr45 as they are presently

Yeah 2h 45m stints were beast. Bring them back!

remember my first time watching the first of the proper GT season showing on forza motorsport website, fews days later I signed up on tora and entered the GT series in the old viper, aswell as picking up first lobby podium and few months later with a lobby win.

My first TEC entry, the 24H of LeMans, teamed up with AndyT306 in a Viper. The Viper had good grip, but was getting beat on the straights by everything. We did triple stints the second half of the race. To run three consecutive stints w/o any damage, and ending up P6 in GTE, was more than I ever expected.

Thank you all for your messages. Keep them coming! The staff love hearing your feedback and it really gives us a boost ahead of a choc-a-block 2015 schedule!

I've been here for 3 years and my first race was the 2011 Nurburgring 24 (laps)
In PGT Audi R8 that I started with the wrong car, then had to use the wrong csr because tge right car wasn't to spec.
I slept through qualifying (a tradition I guess ) so started from pit lane.
my first online rolling start and I crash into the back of someone, then during the race I rolled twice (another tradition I guess) and paused in pit lane so didn't get my car repaired and then drove BACKWARDS around the track to go into pit lane again, Ian wasn't very happy about that...

My favourite series so far would have to be this year's NATCC, XPR had easily won the teams championship but Jvan and I were fighting for third in the drivers championship for 6 of the 10 rounds and it was awesome!!

Favourite race I'm not sure. Probably Adrian's Super GT where Mikey, Kilroy and I had a great battle at Motegi East for the majority of the race.
