Wheel settings

Post by o Mike V o on Sat 8 Nov 2014 - 8:19

I just picked up a wheel and pedals, these are my first so I am completely new to this. What kind of settings do you guys use and how the **** can I get the clutch to work without having to use buttons on the wheel?

edit: bought the mad catz wheel btw.

If you don't have an actual clutch pedal, you will have to use a button, unless you select manual/no clutch from the in game options.

Different wheel makes require different settings, so unless someone else has the same wheel, it will be hard to suggest settings. If you have a specific area you would like help with, we could probably suggest some things to try. Other than that, just play around with the deadzones and settings provided on the wheel until you find what works best. Remember each settings original position so you can go back if you don't like it. I probably spent the better part of a year dialing in my GT2 settings to where I really liked them.

I don't get why I can't map the clutch to one of the paddles, I have four different paddles behind the wheel but I can only use 2 of them for shifting, thanks Forza.

Well I cant help you with what you are asking, however when you get set up and practicing with it please post back about how it feels and drives on FM5. I am looking into a new wheel when I get a XB1 and really don't know where to go to.

Cheers Steve. Cheers
