THE LAST WEAPONIZED RACING CAR MADE FOR USE AT THE SILVERSTONE 12H ENDURANCE RACE
8TH PLACE FINISH - POTENTIAL 2ND PLACE PODIUM


After a frustrating result at the 2014 Silverstone 12 Hour TEC event, coupled with other internal issues, myself and the other core members of Weaponized Racing decided it would be best to form a new identity of our own creation to race under. Weaponized Racing was created as a means to try and connect our less-"hardcore" friends with our progress here on TORA. It was initially setup as a branch of a Forza car club created years ago, of which none of us were involved in until recently. Considering that we were "carrying the torch", in a way, of those not involved on TORA, we wanted to form a new identity that was our own, which would hold the achievements deserved, and owned by us alone. After weeks of downtime and quiet deliberation, the Pro Endurance 24H Nurburgring event came into view, and we settled on the title "Griptek Performance".

With our new-found freedom and identity, we dove right into preparations for the Nurburgring 24H. xl IC3MaN412 lx, Mr Driv3, and I were eager to start anew, and push forward with our (potential) success from the Silverstone 12H. Our first concern was to find a 4th driver to help us cover the 12, 2-hour stints. Maynard S4 was generous enough to offer his assistance, and it became quickly apparent that he was a perfect fit for the team. Having found our final driver, we set our sights on practicing and mastering the Nurburgring, with our focus on running the most consistent laps possible. With this approach in mind, we managed to grab the 3rd place podium in our first event as Griptek Performance, delivering 188-191Mi per stint (with the exception of the final, longer stint) for a total of 2300Mi. This victory is also shared in part with our friends at Le Mans Rennsport, who were kind enough to supply us with tuning setups. LMR finished taking 1st (2348Mi) and 2nd (2309Mi) place finishes as well, essentially claiming the the entire podium in their accomplishments.

Now we move forward, aiming to solidify ourselves as distinct competitors and contributors among the crowd here on TORA. We currently have entries competing in the TCR GRX on Forza 4, and the IndyCar championship on Forza 5. We are also currently preparing 2 teams for the upcoming Pro GT mini endurance series hosted by LMR on Forza 5. We plan on continuing our success by putting the Pro GT in the center of our crosshairs for the next 6 weeks, hoping to land another podium finish.
