Digital Time Attack Season/XB1/PCARS

Post by ToOSk3tChY on Tue 2 Jun 2015 - 15:02

Digital Time Attack Season

Hello everyone, It's that time again...

We're happy to officially announce that on the 20th of June our third Time Attack season kicks off and our first on PCARS. We now have random weather, night rounds and the ability to have 1 car on track at any given time. The cars and tracks have been carefully selected as well.

It's going to be a good championship!

Rules and Information

PLATFORM: XB1

The ultimate aim of Time Attack is to achieve the fastest 'clean lap' out of everyone.

There are 3 sessions in total and here's the order in how they run and in how they work. Note: All sessions are managed 'IN-SESSION'. This is because there is no official race for Time Attack but there's no need to be confused as I will be conducting the rounds myself and will explain everything if needs be.

P1 - In game this is called Practice 1

Traffic: All cars are allowed on track at the same time.

Duration: 20 Minutes.

Purpose: Practice Track, Set Up Car.

Q1 - In game this is called Practice 2

Traffic: Only 2 cars on track at any given time. The event moderator will manage who goes on track and when.

Duration: Until all competitors have completed 3 flying laps each.

Purpose: To earn points and fight for a place in the Final.

Time Validation: Once your name is called you will need to exit the pits and then perform an out lap and then your flying lap. Following your flying lap you can pause the game and 'Return to Pit box', doing this will make the whole process run smoother for everyone. Your quickest time out of your 3 flying laps is taken as your qualifying lap time.

FINAL - In game this is called Qualifying

Traffic: Only 1 car on track at any given time. The best qualifying time driver decides whether to go first. If they choose to go first then the order in which the drivers set their laps will be in qualy order. If the do not choose to go first then the order in which the drivers set their laps will be in qualy order with the exception of first place in qualifying who will be last to set their time.

Duration: Until all competitors have completed 1 flying lap each.

Purpose: To decide final placement of the round and points scored.

Time Validation: Once your name is called you will need to exit the pits and then perform an out lap and then your flying lap. Following your flying lap you can pause the game and 'Return to Pit box', doing this will make the whole process run smoother for everyone.

In game settings

Due to a low number of sign ups this Championship may not go ahead on the 20th of June. Instead it will be postponed by a week each time until we have enough people.

Thank you
