FM6 at Gamescom....should this worry us?

was reading up on the stuff on Forzanet News,,,and spotted this regarding the launch of Forzas very own league system

Online Leagues

This week, we’re showing off competitive multiplayer Leagues for the first time at Gamescom. If you love online racing, this new Leagues feature was built for you. Leagues are a brand new multiplayer feature for Forza 6, one that lets players compete in thrilling multiplayer races that are scheduled and based around each player’s skill level and temperament.

Should we be concerned or is it a good thing? Just wondering what peoples thoughts were. I think it will be moving in a direction more like the league setup in Iracing,,,which works well enough.

Interesting.

While this may turn out to be a fun distraction, I highly doubt it will threaten organized league racing. I think we will always have far better variety to offer given the number of events we can run.

It's another way of finding races that have people of a similar skill set to you, but it doesn't replace organised leagues or communities like this.
As MAKO said, it's a nice distraction

I think this will just be set times for set races, much like on Forza 2, but perhaps with FIFA style 'Seasons' mode progression.
