I was saving fuel to make sure i was able to finish. About 2 minutes before disconnecting i had about 20-15% fuel still remaining and about 10 minutes before that i had stopped conserving fuel because 2nd was catching up. So by the time of my disconnect I for sure would have made it.

Like i said before, I'm not trying to make accusations. Todays result really doesnt matter as I dont think changing tonights result would have any impact on overall standings. I'm only asking so that I know what the TORA stance is on the topic... Did they require a recording to show ur fuel level and disconnect? While tonights result wont make a difference, it might make a difference in the future.. If drivers know they only have to get onto last lap and disconnect in order to get the win, then this wont be the last time it happens. Even if yours was an honest situation, it sets a precedent.

And to be clear with everyone, Silent deserved the win, he was 1 second per lap faster than me.. It sucks he got booted, Its not fair for sure. I only asked my questions for the purpose of understanding the policy/rules, since no TORA officials were in the lobby when it happened

Yeah i definitely see where you're coming from. I guess a good thing to do from now on is if someone gets disconnected like I did on the last lap near the finish line I guess the best thing to do is require the person that disconnected to record it by double tapping home and hitting X to record so just before the disconnect we can see the level of fuel just by looking at the bar. Either that or someone from the same lobby could record the race and upload it so it can be reviewed by TORA officials. Either way I completely understand what you are trying to say and I hope TORA will find a solution soon.

Foreu2env wrote:Can I get clarification/explanation regarding the result of the B lobby tonight? Only asking because Silent disconnected on last lap without crossing finish line, while leading... So he never finished the race but he's credited with the win. He had been trying to save fuel, so who's to say he ran out of gas and disconnected rather than lag out? Not making accusations, just trying to understand what the explanation is for giving win to a dnf.

This is indeed setting a precedent, so I am looking into it.

The way I see it is a disconnect is a disconnect and just tough luck and shouldn't be credited with a win. Silent could have easily made a mistake and crashed out allowing second place to catch up and even pass for the lead. Not having a go at Silent here but this is indeed a good example for future race events and as said its just tough luck, a lag out is a lag out, happens to us all and can't be helped but exceptions shouldn't be made simply because it was a final lap.
Again I stress the point that in no way is anyone having a go at silent but this decision to award uncertain circumstances of a probable crossing of the finish line definitely needs clear guidance for future cases.

All in all damn good series, congratulations to all winners, teams, sponsors and of course the lobby hosts who give their time to make it happen.

Before my lag out, I was having such a fun race battling my way through the field a couple times.

Indeed mate you did well, we had a couple of good clean battles before your unfortunate lag out. Was a good race all round and a nice finish to the series.

It was an awesome series, the build of the car was awesome, the level of participation was awesome, the competition was awesome... Seriously if theres ever a blueprint for a successful series, this fits it. I really hope theres a season 2.
