Anybody got plans for the Daytona 24hr race?

I'm contemplating getting started on iRacing.. I already have a sim rig, wheel/pedals/etc.. but being as I have no record there, I dont know if I'll be able to join anything right away? I thought I remembered there being some kind of earned license leveling system?

There is. Survive the rookie class and work your way up.

We drove it with team NNR 1 and we won lobby 5. In the beginning of the race there were some battles with LeMans Rennsport ( dont know if it was the same as LMR here).
It was fun and not because we won.

I am planning to drive it for the 3rd time with team NNR.
Claes ( Balmierpie) is making the paint for us.
Already looking forward to that 1!
We are now driving in the ProtoGT serie of iracing itself. It is 60 minutes multiclass. I like it a lot!

911 Cup out this month, also if you are going to the AutoSport show this weekend iRacing will have an official stand at the show

Update : I got signed up late December and ran some MX-5 rookie cup races to get myself up to D license.  Ran a few SRF races last week in D series and will be hopping on every so often the next 2 weeks.. But i will be putting more time into license progression once the FM6 ASCC Daytona race is finished.

Hey Guys

Its been few months since I stepped away from racing full time as well as being a staff member and its sad to see iRacing not being used here at TORA.

I was wondering if anyone would like try a one of event such as a Indy 500 or a Endurance race of some kind to get interest going again?

If theres interest from a good number ill happily host it just for abit of fun.

Get your ideas in!

We've tried on numerous occasions but the participation numbers never last.

It's a shame as now I'm on iRacing I'd love to do some stuff on there with TORA, but we can only run events if people show up!

Yeah I know what you mean but I feel now I have been on Iracing a lot longer that getting people to sign up to Tora to race a championship there might be a better chance I will help we TORA ever do i haven't raced in over a yeah I think now and I just want to race on Tora on my pc more

I used to run the iRacing side of TORA and I do feel bad that it never happened the way I wished.

I couldn't keep sending money on something that just couldn't seem to 'take off'. I tryed Mazdas, GTs and WEC, but nothing seemed to kick all the boxes. GTs had 20 entries yet only once did a race see more than 9 cars.

If drivers are interested I would run something again. Perhaps a few fun races to gather interest?

iRacing could easy be a 2nd home for TORA just needs committed drivers to get the ball rolling.

Always down to try and get iRacing going on TORA! Count me in!
