Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Quailified pole, finished last because I pitted too early on the first two segments. F**k me! I would like someone from room 3 to post up pics from all my pit entrances.

Is there going to be an overall points table (sprints/enduros combined) set up soon? Would like to know where I stand in the grand scheme of things.

Gents, pour one out for Mr Driv3 who I was battling with for over an hour and got sabotaged by an Xbox update in the final stint. Was going to be a close finish for the win and I hated for it to end like that.
Otherwise good fun in lobby 3. I had the TCS power reduction of death after an incident on the first couple of laps and it caused a stack-up. Fought back with some fairly smooth driving and everything went fairly well afterwards.

For those (like me) who hadn't bought the Porsche expansion pack with VIR in it, it is on sale for $5 (in the US anyway) with the Xbox Spring Sale. VIR is on the calendar in this series.

Just curious where the sign-in and qualifying threads are. This race IS happening this weekend right?

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Are there any specifics about the track limits for Watkins Glen? Forza's clean line allows 4 wheels on the entry curb at the bus stop but then that is also 4 over the yellow line.
Not interested in sparking some big forum-based [Censored] swinging contest like most people do seem to indulge in now, just want clarification from those in charge.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
No special limits for WG. Prototypes will need to be rather cautious going into/out of the Bus Stop due to the speed difference between classes. On top of that, Mazda and Rebellion drivers will need to be even more cautious since their cars go through that section considerably faster than the DP cars.
There likely will be a "bit" of leniency, but repeated 4 wheels over the curbing into the Bus Stop can/will result in a track cutting penalty.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
I'll be hosting Q1 tonight. As there's 16 we should be able to fit in one party.
If we go over that then we'll manage
I'll be setting up around 10-15 mins before.

Will be any track limits of turn 1 in indianapolis? You can go inside or you have to go outside of the turn 1?

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Unless specified, the limit is ALWAYS the painted lines on the outside of the track. Indy is no different.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Well it is different, there are two sets of lines. I'm used to IMSA, which btw changed it to cut the inside!
That second chicane is going to be difficult to negotiate since the cones are lined up for the "inside".

I'll spin a few laps tonight just to check, but I don't recall anything out of the ordinary for lines used here.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Only issues seem to be turn 1 - don't cut. And turn 7 - don't run wide. But watch this space if something needs to be addressed.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Yea in a practice lobby with a few people, that shall remain nameless, I witnessed most if not all people in the lobby cutting turn one just enough to gain time but not so much that made the cut look suspicious, if that makes sense.
Think most people surely know that the blue and white kerbing on turn one is where you should be keeping at least two wheels to the left of and anything else will be looked at and penalised heavily by stewards.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
I will say that I was one of the guys in section 2. I'm not prefect at that corner. I did notify F4Diablo before we started. But I know that the way F4Diablo Demonstrated in the lobby I can say proudly, I did not cut that wide going into the corner. I apologize @anoncaliga that if I was the person you had concern with. I normally follow the rules and don't race dirty. It just that turn for me is difficult.

I did say a practice lobby mate, not our quali lobby this evening. Yea but now you mention it about our quali lobby I did notice that, we all have issues coming into turn one at speed and properly taking that turn, some can manage it just fine, others can't and accidentally go over which is acceptable once or twice but we mean those who "accidentally on purpose" repeatedly go out of their way to cut.
Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Use this as a frame of reference for Indy. 2 wheels on track at all times, lap time is a 1:13.287
