Depends on who you ask. If you ask those that race GT and above, they will tell you no. Ask anyone with a PS4, and they will also tell you no, as GT Sport seems to be everything that F7 and PC2 should be.

I believe FM7 still isn't in final stage. We probably gonna get class lobbies. Leagues are coming soon as well.
About FM7 and Tora priorities. GTS is on PS4 only so it does not seem as real option for major drivers as I assume most of us have only one console. We still have basically same car rooster with better looking weather environment so I do not see problem with continuation of series from FM6. Am I right?

Because Forza 7 is "xbox play anywhere", you can use PC or Xbox, choice is yours.

The only issue I see at the moment is that unless you grind your way through the single player career mode you won't be able to use the cars we usually use in the usual TORA competitions. Yes you can hire a car, but not tune or paint a hired car, and no livery = no entry in most if not all TORA comps.

Sky, you do have valid concerns, and as a series director I am tailoring the weekly series that I coordinate accordingly. For early F7 series, you can expect a carlist based on tier one and tier two cars. And even TCC cars are in a lower tier.

For the most part, you won't have to worry about upper tier cars until early 2018, and by then most everyone should be able to buy them freely, as I am already nearing tier 7 in my career despite working and taking a couple days off from Forza 7 to race on Forza 6.

Does play anywhere mean PC and XBox1 players can actually run in the same races against each other or is the title simply compatible with either platform and racers are only racing against others on the same platform?

I'm a bit confused and there doesn't seem to be a decent clarification about this online.

ASCC, as far as I'm aware, will not feature an LMPC/LMP2 class.

It's not my series anymore, but I hope it's kept the series is restricted to the DP's and the GT cars. This way, the cars are much easier to balance and people will have one less thing to whine about.

Also, 3 classes in a series spreads the competitiveness of the field far too much. Unless you have full entries (i.e. 6 proto, 4 LMPC, rest GT), then it's hardly worth the effort. What you end up getting in the smaller classes like LMPC is like a 2 second a lap difference between 1-4th. Happened in prototype to an extent this year.

TBF, I really like the game, and the homologation bit has turned out pretty good. But, the locking of cars takes me back to the days of Gran Turismo 2. It may make single player mode more interesting, but screws league racing up big time.

I have always contended that if you are to lock cars or have unicorns, make it realistic, as in cars that only had 3 or 5 made, all of which would be unobtainable and found only in a bunker garage of a high ranking Arab Sheik. To lock cars that can be found in a real world dealership is ridiculous.

Reminds me so much of NASCAR HEAT when they locked the tracks last year everything needs to be unlocked at the beginning some of us don't play games for career mode and i for one hate having to play it to just play online that seems stupid. Now making them harder to get is fine put a big "price tag for game money on the more rare cars or truly expensive cars from the real world.

Well, I’m hanging up the wheel until this game is better, I buy PC2 or I get a switch and play GT Sport.  This game has crushed my spirits.  The splitting decision for me between this game and PC2 was this community. I love TORA, and I found I have gotten faster racing with some of the best. But this game has frustrated me beyond belief. I found myself playing less and less and less.

I know it’s been a month, but seriously, what decent progress has this game made, especially with the stability?  It feels like Turn 10 has completely new developers that went way over their heads.  I just updated my Thrustmaster to fix the FFB giving out a few laps in a race, to be welcomed with no road feeling at all; and it’s only this game.

Thanks for the great races TORA, but I’ll be hanging it up until further notice.

Not sure what it will fix, or what it could break, but anyway, there's an update.

It broke tuning for me and others. I can't load the tunes I have made....so many hours perfecting top 10 ovals tunes in Indycar and F1, gone.
At least this issue is under "investigation" by turn 10 on forzamotorsport.net. I certainly won't be wasting any more time until they fix it.

It also came with a multiplayer livery glitch, in which you cannot see other's liveries. But the communications issues related to party chat are now sorted.

Re: Forza 7 Discussion

Post by EZT MAKO 6669 on Tue 14 Nov 2017 - 5:03

So what are our impressions of FM7 so far? Honestly, while I do like the game, I'm not really overwhelmed by it. There are numerous things that I'm not all that fond of. First off, they've really gaffed up the wheel settings in this one. They added a few new settings which were needed, but they don't seem to deliver the desired effect. I have it so that's it's halfway decent right now, but it's not as good as it should be. For all the things I don't like about Pcars, the one thing I will admit is the wheel feels absolutely incredible in that game. That also confirms that it's not my wheel, it's Forza. You would think that after all these years they could do a better job.

The AI is absolutely horrid in this game!! They've taken a BIG step back from 6. The AI stubbornly sticks to their preset lines and will not budge. Get inside one on a straight when the line moves over and they will move over into you and ride you all the way down the track. I've almost given up trying to actually race them.

The track selection in the career mode is piss poor too. I had three series in a row that began with COTA Gran Prix circuit and then Yas Marina full, two of the absolute worst tracks in the game, I hate them both. With the number of tracks in the game, you would think the selection would be more varied.

The focus of this version seems to be collecting cars over the racing, hence why your collector tier rank is front and center prominently displayed, rather than your driver level. I'm all for collecting cars, but it's supposed to be a racing game. It seems they put most of their effort into the collecting part of the game, rather than the racing side of it.

Overall, the game is just OK for me. I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. I'm not motivated to play it like I was with FM4 and FM6. I just bought the new Call of Duty so it could be a while before I'm back on track.
