V8 Supecars in FM2 (idea)

Pi A880, with no front spilter or rear diffuser and must run race tires. no more than 550hp . cars would be the mustang cobra R, Vauxhaull Monaro, and Pontiac GTO. tracks would be road america to start (closest thing to bathurs IMO) and others TBD. id probably throw sunset in there because its fun

A V8 Supercar championship Im guessing Razz

If we do run this, our Supercheap Auto 1000 should be at Maple Valley reverse, it has that climb at the start, followed by a thrilling downhill secton, and another straight towards the finnish. 50 Laps around there.

For the other races, it should be 2 x 30 minute races with mandatory pitstops. The calader should be like this:

Sunset Infeild - Clipsal 500 (Similar to Adelaide on the infeild section)
Road America - Norton 360 Challenge (Long straights like Sandown)
Maple Valley Reverse - Supercheap Auto 1000
Motegi East - Gulf Air 400 (Similar to Bahrain)
New York - Telstra 500 (This years final race takes place on a street circuit in Sydney)

PI Should be increased to 950 IMO, or have a power limit instead of a PI limit, at 600hp.

hmmm. i like your schedule nicky but i dont like your PI too much. From what i can tell, v8 supercars are basically somewhere between gt3 and gt4. i kinda like the power restriction but i dont want to see a missile race like pontiac challenge

right, fair enough. I do remember making one to 700hp, it was uncontrolable Razz

However Aussie V8's are quick, 300kph through the chase at Bathurst, without the chase they would reach 200mph no problem.

Like Nightrider said, I really hated debating whether to missile out the Pontiacs or keep the purely gripped. I would suggest a power restriction like >500 since its very low S Class, but I know I'd get shot down.

PI doesnt really mean much with power restriction, a.k.a. 1000 hp cars fitting A850... Im glad PI and power would be restricted.

theres no point having a PI limit, cars wont be equal that way, PI is a measure of how well the AI can drive the car, not how good the car is. Id say a 500-600hp limit with full handling, race tyres and full width would be best.

Okay, ive been testing the S880 car, it has 420hp and its surprisingly easy to drive, so might be a good idea if its just a wee fun one off.
