SBR Falken Tires Drift Team Empty SBR Falken Tires Drift Team

With the Announcement of The TORA Formula Drift Championship (TFD) SBR Would like to anounce that they will be Entering the Championship as the SBR Falken Tires Drift Team!

With Two SBR 800K Challenges behind the Team and high finishes in that on both occasions, Hopes are high for a top end result For the SBR Boys.

At this point only One Driver is Confirmed....

#219 - Slider S15 - Two Time SBR 800K Drift Championion

Heres what he had to say:

"I'm so Glad that TORA is finally launching a Drift Championship after the huge ammount of fun Had on our 800K challenge nights. Its great to see TORA moving back towards Tuner based events and we will embrace this as fully as we can. I'm Glad that Falken Tires has agreed to be our title Sponsor, coming over from my Drift and Rally Exploits to support the whole team is just amazing!"

It is expected that Slider's team mate and SBR Boss Sam Billing1991 will also be joining the team however at this time this cannot be confirmed.

As yet there are no words on the cars, only that it is highly likely that the Team will be competing in Pro Class and in something RWD (4wd drifting is pretty wrong, but not as wrong as FWD)

More News and Info when we have it...

from what i got off the podcast, there is an unlimted class which lets you go crazy and do whatever and a club class which is around middle of A or high B class

Unnoficially I would be interested in this series. I don't have a clue what days or times this is running but would love a chance at that third seat Slider....

As long as it doesn't run longer than an hour I should be able to race. You will see my name appearing in more races as I get used to my new schedule at work. I am already planning on running in the SuperGT which is supposed to be on Monday nights. I had planned on finishing the TCM season which was ran on Tuesdays so the time slot isn't an issue for me. Let me know if you have a test car you want me to run for you, I can send you the replay as part of the hiring process when you are interested. I will get better at drifting RWD, I promise you!

well if you do run you would be able to choose and build your own car if you want or one could be built for you, its your choice.

A Video would be cool aswell, just to watch not for any hiring purposes lol

I will work on one for all to see then. Lol. I definately need to work on my RWD drifting. We have until mid may before they post any rules and regs so just practice, practice, practice!

I need to get out of the AWD habbit. I am so used to just trying to using the E-brake and then power over if it starts to get too much traction. I will miss my 700 - 800 hp turbo'd AWD monsters in R class. Lol. I have a B500 Trueno that is slippery as all get out, never really got the hang of that car. I will surf the marketplace for some good lower pi drift tunes. Any recomendations on what cars to look at?

Well id look for an old skool RX7 (nice smooth power from the Rotary)

or a Nissan Silvia S13

or an E36 M3 (smooth and stable)

I have tunes for all available in my Storefront

But an S14 might also be good, but i havnt built one of those yet....
