E3 2010

Post by Stonewall458 on Mon 14 Jun 2010 - 17:05

Discuss anything related to this year's E3 convention in here.

Who else is praying Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi gives us a release date for the game that rhymes with Man Furismo Jive? Razz

I personally can't wait for Man Furismo Jive! Furious jiving is one of my favourite ativities. I think there's a Wii version coming out which FINALLY gives me a reason to use the Fit board Wink

"Forza Watersport" = developer "clever humour" speak for "Forza Wet Tracks/Weather Pack"

Just sounds like a codename to me, like they do in movies. Spider-man came into the cinema under the name "Daddy Long Legs" when I worked there. Some bizarre attempt to confuse potential thieves/pirates into not knicking the prints en route!

Well they said from the off they had been workign with water effects. I honestly don't think it's a small enough patch to put into a DLC though. Just think all all the changes they'd have to make!
More a sign of FM4 than anything else.

I was thinking more of an expansion pack. It's way too early for FM4.

I don't think they'll do it as a "weather system", more likely it'd be specific tracks that you'd select from the list, e.g. "Silverstone Wet", where the conditions are set from the get-go, and the settings for the cars (lights and wipers) are switched "on", not controllable by the player, rather than a "dynamic weather" system which would require a major overhaul of the game.

Even so that's a sizeable update. We're talking a few hundred Mb easy I'd have thought.

You won't get a day/night cycle in this game. Maybe a night circuit tho.

This could be pretty crazy! Microsoft commissioned Cirque du Soleil to provide entertainment - something for the launch of Natal, or whatever it's going to be revealed to be actually called.
Cirque's staging etc is so extensive for it, that it took 25 semi-trucks to move it to the convention centre!

Can they just make Forza better (i.e better sounds and removal of the massive dead zone in the M$ wheel) before they start ''diluting it'' in a litereal sense Razz

You can adjust the dead zone between 0 and whatever degrees, but there is a massive non-adjustable dead zone at around 90-100 degrees that basically feels like there is a massive lump in the wheel and your car stops turning and drives straight and gives out lots of smoke!
