FM4 Profile... Gone

My Forza Motorsports 4 profile has suddenly disappeared. Gone. No warning, no "you were bad so we are taking away everything you ever did". Nothing.

I was tuning, got disconnected, tried to reconnect, and get a T10 message "This profile no longer exists, please delete from hard drive and try again". So I go to the hard drive, look up Game Files, FM4, and go down the list, and no Flyin Mikey J race files, career files, nothing.

I guess I never was?


BTW, this all started an hour or two ago... I have had enough time yo cool off as to refrain from the expected swearing and cursing by now.

Another weird part: My cars and vinyls are gone, as is all my 21million Cr, but Paint Designs and Tunes are still there.

Scratch that... all paint designs are gone, but tunes, storefront and leaderboard times are intact.

I thought at first it was due to beer logos, but they were still on cars on my SF, so I don't know... but I removed them from my SF for safe keeping.

Have you being receiving gift designs ? If so they may have been stolen so they wipe them

No receiving except the designs made by Hailfire for Britcar.

Crap man that sucks, but just for information, the actual save game itself, the tunes, the liveries, the layer groups, the replays, the ghosts, everything are a separate save file, so i have no idea why they would be gone just like that...

As for your leaderboard times though, they're held on T10 servers so you can never technically lose them, only if they're wiped from T10's servers.

It sounds like a fault that used to plague FM2. If the game was saving at the point of a crash/shut-down/disconnection, it could corrupt the save file, and the only option was to delete and start again. Sore one, I suffered that, wasn't fun.

That shouldn't affect anything other than game progress save file though. The rest - tuning, vinyls, designs, media etc should be fine, and work okay with a new save game.

Have: paint designs, leaderboard, pics, vids, storefront
Missing: cars, career progress, money, tunes, vinyls

Its as if someone came in and burned down my race shop.

Thanks to some very nice friends from TORA, XPLR, and XBR, I now have quite a few cars and a very nice amount of Cr. As always, the FM community came to my rescue, for this I am grateful.

Good thing I saved so many paint designs... as I can get the car to put it on, I can unlock the vinyls. This will take a while... oh well.

There's a team of people on the FM.net forums who actually help people out with your problem. Search CRS

A couple hours shy of a week since my FM4 career crashed, leaving me with nothing but a stock Aygo... a week later, I kave taught myself how to shift with the clutch and I end up Qualifying for the front row of a TORA A Lobby, with a second place finish in R1.

I guess I shoulda gone clutch a long time ago.
