PC Zone magazine to shut after 17 years
PC Zone magazine to shut after 17 years

Sad times...used to read it loads back in the day. I've even got that first issue buried in a box somewhere in my folk's loft. Not really a place for it nowadays though, mainly as we no longer have to wait to get our demo's from a cd off the front of a magazine. I didn't realise Charlie Brooker use to write for them until fairly recently as well.
For our younger members we used to call those two square shaped things on the left of the picture 'floppy discs'

Thats a shame, but I don't see how these types of magazines are still going tbh. I used to have a subsciption to the official PS2 magazine for years and it was brilliant reading. But there came a time when I just got all my info off the net, I can't actually remember the last time I bought a gaming magazine. Besides, the info in them is usually out of date by the time they go to press

That's a shame, used to read PC Zone pretty religiously since the late nineties. Pretty much the Charlie Brooker era through to about 2006. Always preferred it to PC Gamer.
A shame, but not unexpected.

Yeah I used to read this waaaayyyy back when.
Again, I've pretty much stoped getting gaming mags because everything I need is on the net anyway. It's one of those sad facts of life I guess
