While I have had lag today, it wasn't as bad as it was. When the connection speed was 2mb/s and I had my ports open, it wasn't lagging like it was today.

----

Onto the main subject:

I think everyone should try to open up the correct ports for their Xbox 360, while adding it's IP to the router. Because it will make racing more smoother, but it will not cut down on any possible lag.

As proven by Sky lowering my connection speed over the last couple weeks.

I was just reading the process to set this up on another thread..

Is port forwarding needed if my NAT states open?

Hey Wulf, no if your nat status is open your fine,

All just check your nat is status is open, if not make a note of your router and model and broad brand provider and use technical froums on xbox.com and broad brand provider to solve the issue, most modern routers do not need port forwardin for xbox live
