Richy59 wrote:All I want from Forza 4 is, in no particular order:
More cars on track, 16 would be nice.
More Layers for painting.
The ability to transfer all of my vinyl groups from Forza 3 into Forza 4.
Night racing.
Weather.
The ability to flash my headlights all the time, not just on some tracks a la GT5.
Better Damage, i.e. Doors opeining, bonnets falling off, wheels falling off etc although this isn't essential.
Better Smoke.
Better Graphics, although we have seen the Kinect cars where you can look around that might not be in-race graphics.
The ability to tune in the race lobby!
Rallying if possible, but I will happily play Dirt 3 instead.
More Real Tracks.
More New Cars.
With only a 2 year gap I can't see how they can improve upon Forza 3 as much as I would like, but I hope I am proved wrong. I want GT5 levels of detail but with Forza features. Not much to ask is it?
I am sure we wont be let down from what I hear all is moving along and if you look at time frame of forza series realse its always 2 - 2 1/2 years of devlopment so I am guessing they started after forza 3 was realesed, though NFS2 looks good but rumors be told LMS and ALMS link up defo
Re: Forza 4
That according to some posts of forza website forums employees where seen at Le Man and Petit this year.....thats all according to 3rd party posts, plus they def will have same ammount of LMS sport cars which is always good
Re: Forza 4
I forgot to add:
Better pitting options, like in FM1 when you could do a quick pit stop just for fuel/tyres.
The ability to repair AERO in a pitstop.
A live pit crew like Switch said, although I'm not that bothered about it.
Bring back different tyre manufacturers.
SEPARATE car damage and tyre wear/fuel just like FM2.
Being able to pick a car package, sort of like a 'Works' package in NFS Shift, where you can turn the car into an S2000 car or GT2 car etc etc although I highly doubt that will be included.
I should really post this on the FM.net forums

Re: Forza 4
lol yeah cause they would obviously listen to me, out of the other thousands of people asking
Re: Forza 4
No more Subaru's please, until they add more TVR's. Also I don't anymore American or Asian tracks added to the game, until the UK gets a more of a look in.DMR SWITCH wrote:I want everything richy mentioned, and a live pit crew, pitting options, and that should do it.

Take Thruxton it is overlooked in my view, plus it is cheap to rent out compared to say Sebring.
Re: Forza 4
If they are going to add such a thing, then it needs to affect the car. Also I want the game to feel more like Race Pro, in other words have more weight to the car.
Because in my view, GT5's car models felt like they had more weight. Take the Nordschleife, the cars on that track felt more real compared to the cars in FM3 on the same track.
Then again GT5 did have a new handling model, so what does this mean in short:
The ball is in Turn 10's corner.

Re: Forza 4
Jamie, I beg to differ you can tell from the outset that Forza had better handling than GT5 unless you use a wheel GT5 felt epic when on the ring in premium car and then you use a non premium car stuck with the ps3 pad and you have not much weight and tyre feeling through the control, saying that the fanatic wheel should be epic, but we are still racing on forza 3? Forza 2? lol
Re: Forza 4
LOL, just like Schumie.
In terms of Richy's list, I fully endorse this product and/or service.
But especially:
Importing vinyls from FM3 to FM4.

Re: Forza 4
I don't think they will allow such a thing, because the graphics engine has been improved. Which would make FM3 vinyls look like, they have been cheaply pasted into the game.
Re: Forza 4
They can improve the graphics all they want it all comes down to the fact that vinyls are created using basic shapes that cannot fundamentally change. They should be easy to import over. Yes, they may look dodgy on Forza 4 but that means we would just have to adjust them rather than recreate them.
GT5's handling blows Forza's out of the water.

......if you have a wheel!
Although once I reconfigured the controllers to an FM layout it worked really well.
Hope to get the new Porsche GT2 Clubsport in the new year
Re: Forza 4
Matt totaly agree Wknd I had a blast on g27 on gt5 and was like omg such a diffrent game but saying that, still cant beat most vln r factor mod with race wheel, good though we should be happy we have such hot competion for our racing games these days
Re: Forza 4
Played GT5 at Gary's house with the pad, found it okay to control, being used to the PSP version, but I HATE HATE HATE the PS3 controller. I used to love the DualShock on the previous PlayStations, but the way the L2 and R2 buttons are triggers now really annoys the hell out of me. Feel like my fingers are slipping off them all the time!

Re: Forza 4
Yeah they are terrible. But I bought trigger extenders that curve out so your fingers sit in them that cost £2 and it is an incredible difference how good it makes them.
Re: Forza 4
Clash Production have uploaded the same trailer to their youtube channel
Seriously guys, go have a look at this channel. I would imagine Clash will be involved with the visual and audio and all round presentation side of things (advice wise).

Re: Forza 4
The only problem with this video is that is says alot without actually saying anything.
People are going to be analysing it frame by frame and getting all excited about things they see but..... it's all real footage apart from a well rendered Ford GT which we've seen the style before with the 458 Italia. It's not the game necessarily. I'm kind of suprised T10 haven't produced something with a little more substance rather than just using cuts of real footage.
It doesn't really do it for me.
