nice 3rd party PS3 controller
..for those who have a PS3 and are a bit put off with the controller stick layout, i found a nice substitute. and it looks almost like a mirror image of a 360 controller.
Here's the link to the amazon.com ad.
PS3 controller
here's a couple pics i took
It Fits in your hands just like the 360 controller does.
i Just got it in the mail today, so only time will tell how long it will last

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
That does actually look pretty nice, but I'm an old skool DualShock kinda guy. Except I fitted trigger extenders onto my controller which cost £2. Made the controller 100 times better. As much as I love the 360s controller I feel more comfortable with a DualShock

to each their own Richy. personally, my thumb cramps up reaching for that left stick for racing games on the PS-systems

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
Yeah I know what you mean, loads of people have always hated the DualShock but since I grew up using it it just feels right to me. That being said, I rarely play my PS3 now so going back to it is strange at first then it feels good to be using it again
If they ship that controller to the UK I might get one. Need to get an extra PS3 controller anyway.

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
I borrowed a friends PS3 for a day and felt like the controller was small, and light, and there wasn't enough "feel" to the sticks. I don't know if there is built in resistance in the Xbox controller, or if mine is just full of food bits and other junk. Lol. I used to be a PS fan, until online racing hit the xbox, then I left my PS and went to the box. I dont' regret it except for GT.

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
Yeah the new ones do seem to be a bit lighter than they used to. Duno what it is but I'll always defend the PS brand even although I use my xbox all the time now. I used a wheel when racing on the PS2 and once I got that I never went back to pressing the buttons or using the sticks to accelerate and brake. I always struggled to use the sticks like you do gashi, although I used to race RC cars a lot and it should really have been the same thing.
Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
The sticks are a rare configuration I am finding out. I had a wheel for my PS2, didn't like it much as I drove 3rd person. No shifter either, so made things a little odd.

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
iirc every racing game on the Playstation has the sticks as an option for driving. I was ok at it but prefered using the wheel. I always race in car so using the wheel helps. Although that M$is terrible on FM3 imo and I lap a second slower than the controller. I use it for otehr racing games, mainly the Codies games

Re: nice 3rd party PS3 controller
minor Bump here, as i have found with the wireless version of this controller (i found that Amazon also has a 'wired' version), the Home button does not turn on the system like the PS3 controller does, but that isnt really a problem for me. and this past weekend while talking to a friend on MSN messenger about some tips on FFX, i ended up starting a new save file for it. Though, what i havent found out is the idle time lapse until it automaticlly powers down, but it is pretty short
