Don't know about you guys, but what would make WRC popular again is to ban 4wd and to go back to the good old days of 2wd (rwd to be more specific).
Not only would it be accessible to everyone because it would be cheaper than even the new 2011 spec cars, but you would see some spectacular action from the two wheel drive machines.
Just given me the idea when I saw this video of Kris Meeke in the 2008 McRae stages in a mk2 Escort. Just watching his car control in this beast of a machine is extraordinary and listening to the 2.0 BDA engine sing as well! OH HEAVEN! lol Razz

But I would guess some of you would prefer either Group B or even the Group A machines.
