Lack of posting
Anyone else notice the lack of posting on actual racing?
Maybe its best not to have 30 days between races. The only active posts are on the Sebring race and Shift 2. Interest can be lost rather quickly when nothing is active.

Re: Lack of posting
People also burn out quickly if we are racing all year long, as proved by last year's calendar - this break between series is supposed to allow people time to properly test and develop cars ahead of the upcoming seasons. In the next few weeks we have the Sebring 12hr, GT1, GPWC (F1), and ISCC Europe starting up.
Re: Lack of posting
Also Worm Remember that the community can set is own races up in this time as well, if you do have any community race ideas which you would like to run contact Richy
Re: Lack of posting
The only one I can think of right now is everyone put up 5 million and winner take all. The object is to let VVV worm win. Seriously though it would take a while to get anything together with proper testing and such
Re: Lack of posting
To be fair though, the calendar has been up since January. This "down time" shouldn't really come as a surprise, and as Duncan and myself said, there's still plenty to be doing! Maybe people are just taking "option 3" and having some family/friends time.
Re: Lack of posting
It's not a surprise. Just I didn't expect it to bs this dead. I have plenty of work time coming is all I got coming in April-November
Re: Lack of posting
Hehe yeh, I can already see myself referring someone to this post in a few months time when (assuming they're taking part in the GPWC and ISCC) they haven't had a Sunday off in months!
Re: Lack of posting
I won't have many days off at all but I'm usually done in time on Sundays. Only off days I get I play golf/practice for 6-10 hours. That's basically work as well
Re: Lack of posting
Yep, I know myself and Chris have been busy so its been nice to catch up with family, but hey Shift 2 out soon so will be playing that 2 death when it comes out
Re: Lack of posting
I'm getting it. I just hope I'm not calling it [Censored] 2. The most on the fence I've been about a game that I'm excited for at the same time that I can remember
Re: Lack of posting
LOL yep, well if we all understeer off at the 1st corner then somthings gone wrong lol
Re: Lack of posting

Re: Lack of posting
We really just all need to have casual nights where someone just says ''hey, up for something random?'' and everyones like ''yeah man, thats awesome!'' etc..
The Mini Series thing is good, but we just need some random nights every now and then on different games.

Re: Lack of posting
Just thinking about it, as well as trying to bring new people to TORA, I was thinking of trying to bring back some of the old members. I'm not going to force any of them so don't worry about that. Just looking at the members list, there are quite a few that we could try and get back. People such as Sam Billing1991, JustOZ71, iDuNnY, murcielagogama, racelegend MB1, silencer s6 etc etc. Hopefully, that'll increase our activity in the races and posts on the forum as well.......hopefully.

Re: Lack of posting
This week we have qualifying sessions for Sebring which are only going to take about 20mins (15mins qualifying plus a little driver wrangling). I'm not around for the first one tomorrow, but Thursday/Friday I was wondering if anyone might be up for some Production Cycle madness afterwards?

Plus 1 Nicky, sounds good 2 me and like you said does not have 2 be a racing game etc,
Re: Lack of posting
I remember we always used to have fun on Forza 2 almost every other night driving Touring Cars and stuff and generally just hooning around. Everything has gone a bit ''private'' since then when it comes to tuning and testing with others, albeit with the occasional large test before a big race.

we need more tora "testing"
I've been trying to get a group of 4-5 guys that are driving GT2 to test with me in a lobby so i can get used to overtaking them.

Seems like my idea is working so far. I've heard back from two of our old members....Captain Handbag and KING HILL01. KING HILL sounds very interested in returning. I've sent out about 10 if not more friends invites to our old members already so fingers crossed that our activity gets increased. Would be really cool to have some of our old members back.

Re: Lack of posting
It would be nice to see King Hill back. Haven't really raced against him since my races at Maple Valley in the '09 GTC series. (My debut series. Thanks go to BrnoutJerzey for turning me on to this site. )

Re: Lack of posting
Just counted. I've sent out 15 friend requests for our older members. As I say, it would be cool if they was to race with us again.

Re: Lack of posting
Those ARTA NSX's were very nice. That was way back when where you could use your GT3 car in the LMS

lol! Thinking about it, Forza 2 wasn't that helpful really in terms of the car choices it had. But funnily, despite the fact we didn't have the correct cars and drive types (Audi R8 with 4wd etc), the attendances were quite large as well if my memory was correct.
Also, I spoke to HeatPhalanx yesterday (March 15th). He's got to purchase another copy of Forza 3 because his was stolen. Once he's bought it again, he is very interested in returning as well.
Could things be finally be on the up again I wonder?
