Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
For those of you that love the BF series and don't have this yet - it's 600 points at the moment, and worth every one. Particularly if you have surround sound - the sound of the airplanes screaming by overhead is just amazing!
Re: Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this game, i used to play this so much with Nicky, and nip on for a couple of games every now and again such a fun game!

I know a number of other TORA members have it, so if you're considering picking this up, you'll have people to play with!
Myself, Duncan and Simon definitely have it. I believe Dan has as well, just to name a few off the top of my head.

No-one seems to play it anymore though, or any of the Battlefields. I've found myself playing this on my own recently.
lfcnicklfc and nickyf1 I seem to see playing this the most. Good shout out Chris, anyone who's not tried it, give it a go. Battlefield has been the only FPS thats interested me at all since Goldeneye on the N64, its that darn good!

i've got BFBC2 but i dont really like it as i only really play that on my own and it gets boring, but with 1943 i only go on it when i've got someone to go online with such as Nicky and it's just so much fun, definately worth of a community night!

Re: Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
If we can get enough of us, we could have some epic games, seriously.
Each game is just filled with pure unadulterated awesomeness! Me and Nick play it alot, every time we go on it just keeps on giving, its impossible to get bored of it.

Re: Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
I'll never forget the time I saw my mate standing between a tank and a jeep that were heading for a head-on collision, and seeing the jeep take a tank shell in the face and just cartwheeling over my mates head.
The other memory I have of playing with him was at Wake Island - we pulled off a perfect "Maverick and Iceman" moment when he had enemies all over his tail, and thanks to party chat, and some skillful evasive flying from him, he led them straight into my gunsights coming from the opposite side of the map.
Definitely up for some CGN action on this.

Re: Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
One of the funniest memeories i've ever had was on Wake Island and i was driving in my jeep jumped out by a building wall, then Nicky came flying along in his jeep crashed into my jeep and crushed me against the wall, this killed me but it then came up that i'd commited suicide!

Or that time one of us remarked (can't remember who) ''oh, the bridge hasn't been blown up yet'' just as Nick was approaching it. I then blew up the bridge, causing nick to fall into the rivene and blow up, killing him.

Re: Battlefield 1943 - 600 MS Pts
If we can get 16 people to have the game.. we can do this on a private match!
Battlefield Racing Series
-Two teams, USA, Japan. Eight per team
-Each team fields two cars
-Each car has a Driver and a Gunner
-Each car has a Mechanic in a specified pit-area
-Each team has one extra member that is permitted to kill any opposing Gunner/Driver
-Gunners may try to kill other Drivers or Gunners
-Gunners and Drivers may not kill any Mechanics
-Gunners, Drivers and Mechanics may swap positions with each other
-No squad spawning, any Driver or Gunner killed must get back to the pit-area to be picked up on the next lap
-Planes and Boats may not be used by the extra member of each team
-Spare cars may not be used unless car is destroyed, damaged cars must be repaired by a Mechanic
-If a Driver or Gunner has to bail, they may use any car they can find
-Drivers and Gunners must be riflemen (i.e no spanners)
-Scout class is forbidden due to satchel charges
-Mechanics pit positions will be well away from the track, inside shelters and what not
-Any team caught cheating will be met with lethal force
Circuits
Guadalcanal - A race round the perimeter roads, starting at the Japanese base, along the coast past the Village, through the US base, along the coast back towards the Japanese base. PIT AREA - US BASE
Wake Island - Starting at the peninsula nearest the US carrier, through the Signal Station, around the island towards the Village, turn round at the bunker, back round to the start, turn at the bunker there too. PIT AREA - AIRFIELD
Iwo Jima - Start at Mount Suribachi, down the hill, over the bridge, through the little cluster of buildings, into the airfield (no cutting through the fence) turn round the furthest away watch tower, down the runway, THROUGH the fence , down onto the beach, back up at the light house, back up the hill, turn at the Mount Suribachi shelter. PIT AREA - AIRFIELD
Blwing up bridges is not allowed
