E3 2011

It's that time of year again, and even though the show hasn't even started yet, the trailers are coming thick and fast!

Some of my watch list from today:

Batman: Arkham City







Tomb Raider (Reboot - oh Crystal Dynamics how I love you - reboot Legacy of Kain next plz thx)





Alice: Madness Returns (If you've never heard of/played "American McGee's Alice" go look it up - absolutely amazing gothic/psychotic retelling of Alice in Wonderland in game form).

Guys we are thinking for when Microsoft does there 3 hour show to have a chat box open and live stream via game trailers so we all can discuss -

Gears 3, Forza 4, BF3, MW3, Mass Effect 3 etc etc

Word of warning (as I used GT last year to watch E3) - it's extremely popular, and tends to fall over when they hit some crazy concurrent viewer mark (like 1 million people watching at the same time kinda thing).

I didn't see a Tomb Raider reboot coming! Looks pretty good!

If you guys can somehow get Spike TV it has it as well.

Unfortunately it's US only.

EDIT: I went to set my DVR to record the Microsoft conference on Spike and I can confirm that Forza 4 and Gears 3 will be talked about.

Tomb Raider does look good, autumn 2012 tho? Long way off.

HD remakes of both Zone Of the Enders and MGS! That's it, don't need to see anything else!!!

Rumour has it that Square Enix gave Ubisoft Montreal a ton of money to do the job properly, and the time they needed to do it.

btw I am once again offshore for the entire E3 so I can't access any of the game websites to see whats going on so I will be relying on you gusy to post info in here rather than just links so I can see whats going on

Yup, there's an MGS HD pack coming out in November for PS3 and Xbox 360 featuring MGS2 Sons Of Liberty, MGS3 Snake Eater, and the PSP's MGS Peace Walker. A ZOE HD pack, with both Zone of the Enders games, is due next year, again for both 360 and PS3.

I absolutely LOVED ZOE 1. I cannot stress enough how much anyone who has not played ZOE before should get this remake, it was a fantastic game.

Also appears to be a Silent Hill HD update somewhere, but not seen much so far. Watching a Konami pre-E3 video now.

Prey 2 coming out. I quite liked the first one.

The Silent Hill game is called Downpour. Can I just say, if anyone has a PSP or Wii, Silent Hill Shattered Memories is well worth hunting down, as a reimagining of the original game but doing something very different.

MGS3 on the 3DS actually looks a lot of fun, but I am not into being sick while I play games.

It is how people in the UK watched the SpikeTV video game awards so it may work again?? I have no idea, but here goes for you guys. I hope it works.

That link doesn't work and neither do the 3 others I've dug up. The IGN boards seem to have all sorts of information but I don't know if this stuff just doesn't work for me because I am over here or what. Is there a way I can stream this stuff over the internet from my tv? Maybe Magictap can help me out there. I wouldn't mind doing so if I could find a way that didn't cost me a small fortune

Ah, Silent Hill Collection, 2 and 3 in HD. Never finished 2, never played 3. Downpour looks proper creepy!

Woah wait, they are releasing an MGS HD pack without MGS1? Whats the point in that. They could have least used teh Gamecube version...even although Snake does backflips over rockets in that game...

I'll still be picking it up though, MGS2 must still be my most played game ever, closely followed by MGS3. I hope they reboot the games using the Substance and Subsistance versions though, they had all the extras and in MGS3s case they had the 3rd person camers. Unless they have any form of multiplayer I will probably pick them up on PS3. Can't imagine playing an MGS game on an Xbox controller.

ZOE was an incredible and totally under rated game.

Scot you should finish Silent Hill 2 mate, one of the best games I've ever played. And yeah I'm interested in this MGS collection, I got 1 and 2 but never had 3, but I'd want all three in the collection ideally.

I found the E3 website confusing, although last night I found it. Under the navigation bar on the far right is a tiny button, full schedule.

Fanatec has announced a new wheel based on the Audi.

The base is indeed a prototype of our new high-end wheel."

Magic the wheel they made is not going to be outfitted with an Audi steering wheel. It was outfitted with it along side the reveal of the new Quattro to let people drive it virtually using Need For Speed World.

At the rate they work it may be 2020 before they can make one and get it to customers. I still do not have mine, the latest excuse is the shipment is hung up in customs. Some people ordered theirs in January and still don't have them.
