A wee note from ALBA Racing (the unofficial Scottish wing of EZT)

Well that’s all the series wrapped up for Forza 3 and I want to say that it’s been a blast.

I joined halfway through the Summer GT series and had a couple of good races, a couple more were hampered by lag and connection conflicts and then couldn’t make Silverstone.

Almost didn’t join in the TCC. Saw it advertised, thought about it, forgot about it. Then I missed the first race.
After a bit of testing and matching my times against those in Race 1 thought I would give it a go.
The following four races were great fun and really enjoyed being part of it. This level of cars is much more in my comfort zone than the R classes.
The only bugbear was again connection problems. Qualified each race in A lobby, but ended up racing in B lobby for three out of the four races. The only time I did get into A lobby was as Sunset and the SEATS worst track.

So finished 9th overall but could have finished a bit higher up. Still good though.

Congrats to Dan on the win in TCC. I’m glad the conflict at Sunset that put you in B lobby didn’t screw up your chances for the win.

Anyway that’s Forza 3, now onto Forza 4.

I plan to be racing in the up-and-coming Spec/Sock races so hopefully see you guys again there.

Also hope that in 2012 to be involved in the ISCC as that sounded really good. Just need to see if I can either get a team together or fill an empty seat (can’t tune for toffee)

Going to set up a different DMZ so with any luck conflicts should be a thing of the past too. Perhaps Forza 4 will be more forgiving (it had better be with 16 in a lobby!)
