Going to get Sky Fibre, it'll raise my board to £70 a month, but I get a pay rise when I turn 18 anyway. Was reading on Sky's help forum and saw some thread titles 'Sky Fibre - Very slow download speeds'. Read it and the ungrateful sods we're moaning about getting a 26Mb/s download speed. Whilst I still battle with this:

With getting a gaming PC & with the release of the next generation of game consoles imminent, it is more important now than ever to get those pesky internet gremlins off my back

I'm looking to do the same Kilroy. I usually get 2.5-3 download and 0.5 upload and I think that's about the lowest limit to get pretty much lag free play.
BT are rolling out infinity to our village within the next 6 months and as soon as it's available I'll be jumping on.

Post by ErebusV8 on Mon 29 Jul 2013 - 11:11

there's one in my area with a ping of 158!!! one with 103, but low 8's for down and high 0.8s for up load
here's one from connecting to London Vodafone;

and connecting to (somewhere near) Darth Mario;

so that may be my problem....
but we get much faster internet soonish (early next year) with optic fibres, the really fast ones, with it done in the whole area, not just my house, which'll make a big difference

BT Infinity will be available in my area sometime between October and March (allegedly) so I'll (hopefully) be able to get better connection speeds in the next few months.

Man, and I worry about my 3mbps upload mainly for the streaming (which from now on is a scaled HD!) but I wouldn't be able to survive with less than 1mbps upload!

I'd love to have TMVG Def Leppards connection!

If you can't get a wired connection, get some powerline adaptors, they're 90% as good as a cable and a hell of a lot more reliable than crummy wireless!

I tried a Live stream earlier this year, the video was 40 minutes behind the actual gameplay!
