Post by Ax4x Mikey J Fri 20 Apr 2012 - 8:58

Having read that I am supposed to do this, here it is...

Gamertag - Flyin Mikey J
Age - it's rude to ask...but I am in my mid 40s
Country - USA
Experience - RW: Many years wrenching, and a few in the seat of stock cars on short ovals across Southern and Central California. Virtual: GT2/3/4, then FM2/3/4. Have been the host of a long running weekly Hotlap Challenge on Gamefaqs since FM2 as well.
Interests - Racing, family, music, work.
Expectations - As many as I can, as often as I can. Working nights a lot lately, I am more likely to hit weekday races than weekend, assuming the time difference is 8 hours, or better yet for me 9.
How did you hear about TORA? - Ten Tenths' website.

I am lucky to have a wife that loves racing, and a job that has revolved around racing as well... pinstriping/airbrushing/lettering, used to be 100& race car, but in the present economy, I'm as likely to paint a storefront window or block wall as I am a race car. Neutral

Hey Mikey and welcome to TORA cheers

Ten Tenths eh? I'm sure NickyF1 is a very regular poster over there.

Hopefully you'll find something to fit your schedule, we have a North American specific timezone Touring Car series going which runs at 9pm EST, and our weekend races sometime suit you guys well.

I just got to Ten Tenths recently, referred from a friend and disgruntled former mod at SpeedTV.com. As far as time gors, it seems I do a lot of my racing between 11am and 1pm Pacific US Time, which seems to be around 8pm in Britain, as I race a lot with Brits in the F Class public lobbies. Looking over the number list, I see lots of familiar tags.

Oh you could run in the very popular TCC 20:00BST events. Next one is Tuesday 1st May at Maple Valley Short.

Here's a shot of my old home track... where I grew up as a fan and where I first raced.

Not meaning to be picky, and many people here actually do pronounce my name correctly. But, as not to confuse those that get it right, I better correct those that don't. It's pronounce "Mike-ee", not Mick-ee.

Thanks.

I didn't feel the need for a whole new thread just to clarify pronunciation of my name, so I just resurrected this one. Idea

Wasn't looking for new welcomes, so that caught me off guard.

And cheers from usually dreary Oregon USA.
