VWAG CUP Season 2 - Xbox Pro League Racing :)

Hi there,

Just a quick note to all that at XPLR (Xbox Pro League Racing) http://www.xplr.co.uk we are about to get underway with one of our favourite competitions, the VW cup.

The first season showed some amazing race nights and we fully expect more of the same this time round.

Also, if your worried about your tuning skills, we are giving away few tunes for all the cars in the series, which will be open for you to tweak to your preference.

Morning all!

Round two coming from Catalunya this week. Round one had some amazing battles and we fully expect more of the same this week. If you love your VDUBS then this is the series for you, head on over and get signed up, clean drivers always welcome

My Mom is paying us a visit today, but I think I will work my schedule around next week's event as this would seem a good way to keep my FWD TC skills sharp.

this is a great series... just a shame i haven't been able to race in it yet

You will be a welcome addition to the series chief. If you pick your car from the list i will make sure you get the build and tune sent over ASAP. If you can send me a friends request I will also pass on numberboards and the like.

Thanks Greg. FR sent. I have no idea of which car to pick yet though, as i haven't driven VeeDubs much in FM4 due to their status as dreaded "Leaderboard" cars in FM3.

Would be happy to enter bud but I have hung up my controller for a bit as I have bought a saxo vts track car for £200 and am having fun playing with it. I will be back once it's broken

No problem Mikey,

I have went with the beetle, as its a good mix of grunt and handling. Whilst not being great at any one thing(some are fast, some handle better), it sorta does it all ok if that makes sense,,lol

I can gift accross a few tunes for the different cars for you to run with and see what u prefer. All the rules are over in the site and i accepted ur race number. But you will need to say what car ur picking before you actually race so the event CO knows whats happening.

It`s a friendly series, so any quesitons am sure most will be happy to help, also, feel free to ask me if your question still goes without answer

Once the weather turns you will pick up the pad again chief, and i look forward to you doing so. Miss the crack with ya blud,,

Also, once all the dust from the club stuff it will be way easier to just session again and have fun.

Had fun racing with you guys, but I gotta say that you all are pretty quick. Haven't been beat so big in a while. Could be I just picked teh wrong car, as nobody else was using the corrado. Could also be I adjusted myself right out of the ballpark.

On xplr we do have a lot of lower class fwd comps so don't beat yourself up Mikey, I hope to be racing on there again soon, glad you enjoyed it

Mikey, if you like am more than happy to do some setup laps with you before next week. It was ace to have you along and am looking forward to seeing you work your way up through the pack as you bond with the car. The corrado is a great car once you get to grips with at as truth be told it kicked my ass last season

Hit me up if you fancy a shack down session. I will be posting up a practice session as well for midweek if your up for it.

Friendly bunch as well. We have all the tunes for the cars in the series giong for free and they are very well done (thank you to MR EddRok for his tuning skills) as i won last nights race using his very setup without me having to touch a thing!!

RACE REPORT - XPLR - VWAG Cup Season 2 - RACE 3 LAGUNA SECA - ROUND 1
Edd Rok leads from Pole followed by Maneatingbrick, Gregbie and Deano. Glimmer makes up 2 places from the start.

Pronag Racing and Flyin Mike get side ways as they fight for 10th

Cefilo Drifter, Noisey82, Dubs, Glimmer & Boro Bex fight for 5th into the last corner of the lap

Edd Rok builds his lead over maneatingbrick, Gregbie & Deano

After struggling, Dubs finally gets past Celifo Drifter & Glimmer in one move coming up to the corkscrew

After putting Maneatingbrick under pressure, Greg makes a mistake and runs wide, allowing Deano through to 3rd

Boro Bex defends into turn 1 Vs Noisey82

Gregbie takes back 3rd at the corkscrew, with Deano fighting back..but...

It allows Dubs in there to take 4thForza41

Dubs gets a slow run upto the corkscrew allowing Deano back throughForza42

Gregbie makes his 2nd and most damaging mistake as he loses places to Deano, Dubs and Glimmer

Dubs takes the inside line past Deano, allowing glimmer to take a look but fails to make the move.

Edd rok, leads from start to finish and comfortabally takes the flag.

RACE REPORT - XPLR - VWAG Cup Season 2 - RACE 4 LAGUNA SECA - ROUND 1


Flyin Mike, Cefiro drifter and pronag battle into the 1st corner

1st lap action

Pronag, Glimmer, Dubs, Edd Rok & Boro Bex have a little accident at the corkscrew, dropping them back from the rest of the field by
Pronag, unabale to regain control, clips Glimmer which sends him on a one way trip to the wall
Noisey gets caught up in the aftermath and collides with pronag
Deano takes the lead from Cefiro drifter after starting 8th
Dubs goes bravely around the outside of Flyin Mike for 5th
Only to lose it at the corkscrew. Boro Bex takes advatage and makes up 2 places
Deano builds a gap from Gregbie and Edd rok
Edd rok exits the pits behind Gregbie as deano looks to have built a comfortable lead
Glimmer takes bex on the inside for 7th
But loses it after running wide at the next corner
with Greg chasing hard for the win, Deano crumbles under the pressure and runs wide(ON THE FINAL LAP!), handing Gregbie the win and losing out on a 3rd victory of the season
Gregbie takes the flag just ahead of a gutted Deano, Edd follows for 3rd

Glad to see XPLR back on track! I know the first season of the VWAG was a huge success and looks like the 2nd season is off to a cracking start.

Thanks Deuce, would be ace to see you on the grid for it, but know time wise it sucks for ya:oops:

But fear not, we will be getting a comp together soon which is more suitable time wise for ya. Need to teach you some lines again,,u must be getting rusty!!
