Does anybody here have a Supermoto/Dirt Bike?

Post by BG Beanz on Sat 8 Sep 2012 - 9:21

I'm looking at getting a Honda CRF450 Supermoto, i previously had an Honda XR400 that i used on the road which had knobblies on, but never really used it daily so it was safe in my garage.

So, i guess the main question is, does anyone have any advice regarding securing said bike with the fact they have no ignition switches and are relatively light?

Ive allways kept my bikes in a garage , knobbly tyres just attract thieves if you dont have the option of a garage or shed try para bolting a ring into the concrete and run a chain through the frame.

Well not really knobblies, but this is the kind of bike i'm after: eBay link here

What i meant is more how do you secure it when you're out and about rather than overnight storage?

Ahh i see what you mean , silly things like turn the fuel line off or removing the spark plug work but tbh anyone that knows bikes would be able to nick it in a few seconds , you could look into fitting a tracker into the frame only a few hundred quid ill even fit it for you Smile
