I realise I'm an irregular backmarker at best, but as long as the question's being asked, I'd rather do PC than P2.

2 P1 GTE

Why?

We have 16 player lobbies

We dont have 42 player servers like you get on PC where 4 - 5 classes would work well.

4 people in a class per lobby?

I'd rather see 8 per class and do two.

LMP1
LMP2
LMPC
GTE
GTC
Spec Miata
DTM
Super GT
Clio Cup
V8 Supercars

Limit the series to 100 people so only 10 per class. We can dilute the racing so much that everyone has a shot at a lobby or four higher than they've ever been in!

not to nitpick, but you missed Touring cars off there mate lol!

I agree about the low number of people racing each other per lobby, which is why I picked an option with 3 classes instead of four, but I also feel like the TEC race at Sebring worked well enough and there were only 2 classes in that..

but it is exactly why everybody should give an opinion Very Happy

Glad it was taken as a joke as I intended. I had 14 typed up so Touring Cars would have made 15. They don't divide into 100 so I only went with 10.

1 - LMP1 and GTE

I said it before but i don't think you should race more than 2 classes. Given the number of players that can enter a lobby, racing with 3 classes or more results in you racing 3 or less other cars and i think most people come here to race and not to hotlap. It is maybe fun when you are in the faster class that you can overtake slower cars but the guys in GTE really only race with other GTE cars.

In an Endurance race you should be racing yourself, not others. At least, not directly. "It's a long race, can't be won in the first lap, etc etc". Although I do agree with some; it can get boring so we might as well crank up the action Wink

Personally, I see 3 classes at the optimum; 4 could work, but there won't be much competition, and I feel as though 2 classes would just be a copy of a TEC stint.

Anyway, we could do a vote to settle it, or leave Louis to have a ponder Razz

Ever watch an ALMS race Standaman?

Everyone knows the GT cars are the best because they actually race with one another. No one watches the 24 Hour races and says "oh my god did you see how awesome that race was? All the cars were by themselves and running alone".

Ever heard of an awesome race on Forzs where there was a ten second gap between cars?

Post by Standaman94 on Thu 21 Mar 2013 - 16:44

Alright, Worm, no need to come off as a jerk about it.

I have seen an ALMS race, yes. Anyway this isn't ALMS, is it; Sebring was pretty lonesome for most drivers, albeit a couple of twosomes in each stint.

ISCC was great last year, I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that. I had fun and it wasn't competitive. This isn't TCC, or GT, and no one has to make it so.

Also, no need to slag off everyone's ideas, thoughts, and comments just because they aren't the same as yours. You can simply disagree where need be. Everyone already knows your opinion on everything at TORA, it seems. Recently most comments from me and a few others have been slandered by you, trying to prove yourself and your ideas. Just open yourself up to other's thoughts, perhaps. I know you disagree on things, just like everyone else, but you don't have to make a big deal of it.

Alright, to simulate a proper race that isn't the LM24, we need to have a ratio of 6 LMP1:5 LMP2:6 LMPC:18 GTE:14 GTC with whatever we run.

If we run LMP1 and GTE, do 24 and 72. If we run LMP1, LMP2, and GTE, go 18:15:54.

This would benefit all. As Wormburner said, the LMP classes are usually empty and far-stretched, where the GT classes are the most fun to watch because there's a lot of them and they're close. That way the hotlappers can race LMP1 and the racers can do GTE. Both the 'Race the Track' guys AND the 'Race the Competition' guys can have fun.

I'm not slagging anything off or being a jerk. You attempted to make a point and it was pretty unfounded and ignorant to the third word in the websites name. I am certainly sorry that your unfounded, ignorant post made you defensive and hyper sensitive to someone else's retort.

See now I have obliged you and been a jerk, one that still has a better point than your own. The Online RACING Association.
