Re: Age Restricted Advertising
Anything that is Alcohol, Tobbaco or anything where you require ID to buy things in shops.
Re: Age Restricted Advertising
Really? That is interesting. Mind if I ask why that is? And, is it for each and every TORA-sponsored event?
Re: Age Restricted Advertising
We are the only Online Racing club that is officially recognized by the MSA.
The Motor Sports Association (MSA) is recognised as the sole motor sport governing body for the United Kingdom by the world governing body, the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile (FIA).
As the governing body, the MSA is responsible for the governance and administration of all major forms of motor sports in the UK.
So we are an official UK race club and because of this status we run under their guidelines which includes age restrictions on sponsorship. I am unsure of TORA-Sponsored events, you will have to ask Matt about that one but I imagine it falls under the same guidlines.

Re: Age Restricted Advertising
It really stems from our MSA and Go Motorsport partnerships. Despite it being permitted in the real-world of motor-racing, we made a decision that TORA does not permit these as we are trying to attract a young audience and introduce them to motorsport as much as an older one.

Re: Age Restricted Advertising
As TORA is affiliated with the MSA, we felt it appropriate to adhere to the same legal requirements they are under the European Union for all TORA sanctioned race series.
It also fulfills our obligations as a socially responsible organisation as regards the protection of our younger members.
If you refer to any liveries operated by participants in any EZT series, they will be different. This is because the EZT series (so far as I am concerned) is based in the USA, outside of the EU and as a result is not required to adhere to EU law. However I would imagine that an organisation such as EZT would set certain standards of decency and 'appropriateness' concerning liveries.

Most definitely. Thanks for the explanation.

Re: Age Restricted Advertising
Moved to a seperate thread. Please consider where you post. "Lobby Settings" wasn't really the right choice for this one.
