Re: 2013 24 Heures du Mans 90th edition
i dont drink caffeinated beverages. dont need that garbage. friday night, i didnt get to bed til 10 minutes before midnight when i realized what time it was and told myself i should get some sleep before the big race starts. and just my luck, i wake up just before 5:30am. (wake up to my alarm during the work week at 5:30, for the past decade, so i'm used to waking up early)

Just got back from about 6 hours of being away from the tv...
WTF happened to #1? #3? At least Audi is still leading with #2.

The #1 Audi had an alternator failure and a brake pedal come loose, the #3 Audi I can't remember...

Oh yeah, Audi #3 had a cut tyre after the Lotus LMP2 hit him.

Pleased to see that the #99 is leading GTE. With 97 not too far behind. Porsche are bringing their A game though
Re: 2013 24 Heures du Mans 90th edition

The Rebellion just had a huge crash...but it is driving back to the pits.
Safety car drivers aren't getting any rest right now.

30-40mins to repair the barrier!
Eurosport discussing the use of concrete, Wouldn't that be more dangerous even if quicker to repair?
Hopefully they find a quicker way but I feel driver safety over repair time is key.
I sell armco barrier and it honestly looks stronger than those thin ones down the mulsanne straight.

Yea... 3 out of 5 Astons are retired. 1 left in GTE-Pro, running 2nd, and 1 in GTE-Am running 6th(?).

yep should be treating like the ring now avoid all white lines where possible
Re: 2013 24 Heures du Mans 90th edition
Someone said something on Eurosport about Tecpro barriers like in F1. What a great idea.
Re: 2013 24 Heures du Mans 90th edition
Checking in, TORAland.
AMR is the classiest [Censored] organization in racing, IMO. To have lost what they have so far this race, both mechanical and human, and still keep fighting? I can't think of another team that would keep going as they have, and certainly not as well as they have gone.

That's practically SAFER barriers like in Nascar. Which I still don't see why it hasn't made it to places like Le Mans (in Tecpro format, for instance).
