You missed the 'or' off when you snipped that quote Warspite, I was referring to my general approach to believing laptimes - "leaderboard or replay or a history of BS laptimes", don't misquote someone and change their meaning. You've clearly got a great build and tune Warspite, you don't need other people to 'prove' the cars capabilities for you, do it yourself and people will respect you for what you've done.

Agreed Chaddy, test team and staff have tried their best to make the cars as even as possible - qualifying will show the real capabilities of the cars Smile

It was mearly to compare against you guys and all the A lobby runners, as there are 3 of us in this car, I wanted to get it as close to the limit as I could.

I will NEVER be as fast as the majority on here, but that was never the idea, the idea was just to have those guys set fast times that would be on par with the leaders.

I am a better tuner than driver, not as good as some, but I'll spend hours even days at a time on one car, the VXR and the BMW we drove last year with Holy and Dan, we each spent every evening on the car going round the track, taking data and tweaking, this was for a good 3-4 hours a day for 2 weeks.

Add this up and results would show a focused and detailed tune, common sense really.

Its basically last years list with improvements to the RWD cars, which is very good for the championship.

If this 1st race is anything like season 6 where 4 cars were side by side down the back straight, it'll be amazing.

Agreed! The TV coverage is gonna be epic - especially if we get a race like Infineon A lobby last season, there was an 8 car battle for 3rd place, all between different cars (BMW, Leon, Seat, Civic, Veloster, Kia, Megane etc).

CQR MAGiC wrote:No, it was a reference to Sebring 12 Hours where the GT qualifying times were substantially slower than the times being claimed in the testing thread. Testing is one thing, but qualifying and racing is another thing entirely. The TCC test team and staff (myself included) have put a lot of hard work into trying to make the cars as balanced as possible, and people seem to be already deciding that RWD is too fast, based on a handful or laptimes at one track.
The looks of the cars look pretty balanced. As I said about the bmw, Warspite asked me if I'd run some laps and look for any improvements in the tune. It seems to be really good. If anybody wants me to help with their cars I'd be more than happy to help. Racing in the TCC has never been an option for me as I work from 11am-11pm est Monday thru Saturday.

I can send you my Veloster from last season Dewey if you'd like to try it - I put it 4th on the grid at Suzuka in A lobby last year, so it's certainly competitive with the front running cars Smile

Can someone clarify, for FWD springs you set the rears very soft and the front Midwayish?

No, try it the other way around. For FWD cars you need the front springs softer than the rears, to make the car oversteer more and kill the cars inherent understeer.

No worries, I'll send it over tonight - it oversteers quite a lot (especially on cold tyres) but you may be able to use bits of the tune and merge it with other tunes to find one you like!

It's not how you'd tune a real FWD car, but maybe it works with some cars on Forza - try both methods and see which feels better, and which is quicker for you. Thing with tuning is, there's never a 'right' tune for everyone, you need to tailor it for your own preference, some people are faster with a more stable tune, others like the car moving around a lot for example.

The team that ran the Honda in the WTCC last year did my method, on another obscure tuning note Demo runs all his RWDs at 100% diff its amazing he doesn't do this all race.

Definitely worth trying Myles, if you can get it to work without it understeering too much!

I've found that some of the FWD cars that understeer like pigs on Forza are much better with softer front springs, helps the front grip better and get better traction on corner exit.
