1:36's at Leguna Seca, during race conditions I'll probably pick up .750 or so depending on who I'm following.
Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
I have some pace to pick up @ MV. I know when I hit my marks my times will improve... but first I gotta find my marks.

You'll be at the back with that sort of time. Did you run wide and finish the lap in the pits or something? The Bulin Wall5 wrote:What about a 1:40.230 on Maple?

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
^ These cars at Maple Valley are a bit of a handful, I'll give you that. But the build is very similar to the build we used for Spec Mustang last summer, and the MV round was epic. We had four different leaders in the last lap, and were three wide at the line.
Its much like V8 Supercars at Bathurst, it rewards risk taking and severely punishes mistakes.

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
Yes it's going to be tricky with all the elevation changes and huge kerbs, i can see a fair few accidents happening.LMR Agera wrote:These cars + maple valley = bad bad bad combination.......

What i don't like is the fact it's reverse, this track is just horrid the wrong way round, no track should be raced in reverse in my opinion. I can see the jump being an issue too with these cars...

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
The issue with this track in the "forward" direction is flips at the top of the hill and the last turn.
It's actually a very good track if they had just knocked down the curbs a little and moved the wall in the last turn inward a meter or so.
But due to those annoyances, it sees limited use, which in my opinion is a crying shame, as otherwise it is a great circuit with all the different radius turns and elevation changes.

I like MV Reverse. Like Laguna Seca, it's very fun to drive.

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
With some help I'm running 1:41.100s on avg but I'm happy with that as the car feels stable.

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
Run some high 1:40s with the Cuda which is promising as I thought it would be struggling here given it's relatively skinny tyres.
Had quite a few rolls at the top of the hill too which should make the race interesting.

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
I have done everything but roll it.
Hitting 1:42.2s, which means I will probably qualify a 1:43, roll it, and then hit 1:41s in the race.

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
I have worked my way into the 1:41's now, but to be honest, i stopped caring about lap times after around ten laps, im smiling like a teenager thats just discovered magic beans!!
Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
As has Ben said already its not the times that matter it's keeping it on 4 wheels lol

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
I hope you guys had fun races and may have even reconsidered those statements some after last night. It seemed to me that most everyone, in the A Lobby at least, had fun trying to tame MV Reverse with these beasts.BG Beanz wrote:Yes it's going to be tricky with all the elevation changes and huge kerbs, i can see a fair few accidents happening.LMR Agera wrote:These cars + maple valley = bad bad bad combination.......

A few rollovers in the Sprint race, I'll give you that, but not much wrecking in the feature that I heard anyway.
Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
I will be the first to say I tend to stay away from rwd as I suck driving them but after last night I'm loving this championship ok I have had massive help from XPR Venom and my team mate Jabberwockies to get tunes that work for me but I'm able to race the ford boss and not wobble it round the track just trying to stay on the black stuff. I myself just wish the season was a little longer as before I know it its all over
Cheers mike for a great championship !! Great cars and great clean racers ( well bar my team mate nearly taking me out in the sprint race )

Re: TCR Vintage Trans Am Lap Times
If there is anyone left after the XB1 launch, there is a follow up series in the works.
