Re: Le Mans News
Wow, I've never heard of such a thing?! Can Peugeot even block Audi from doing the race?

Apparently they have some sort of veto power, im not sure as i couldnt view the whole article
Toyota Sportscar news ;)
Ok guys some of you may be aware from me that Toyota have a sportscar programme planned for 2010/11, speculation is that it is to be P1/P2 altough i can not confirm this. This is to be a works team on the back of the F1 departure, much of the people will be carried over from ToyotaF1. Today i have just heard that the project is to be run from Toyota's German center in Cologne and not from Japan.
This is still a project in its early stages but early components (and yes i have seen some RandD work ) appear to suggest prototype rather than GT conversions.
Toyota will also be strengthening there JGT efforts alongside this as an attempt to bring them strongly back into Sportscar raing globally after a long break.
Just hope its more succesful than there F1 programme.
i will keep you updated...

Anyone else see the pics of the R15 testing at sebring?
also, ALMS is talking about letting audi run at sebring.
if so, i might have to make a trip to florida.

Re: Le Mans News
I thought audi had confirmed that they would only be entering Paul Ricard and Spa before the Le Mans 24 hours and then returning to Silverstone at the end of the year as part of the Intercontinental cup. Aston are now taking their LMP1 there under the works team though
With Audis new driver line up i think there gonna need to get some laps under their belt, Treluyer mite want to practice some night running too after last years LM24

Re: Le Mans News
priaulx for GT2 win! wanting an audi comeback (mainly cos we get a payrise if they do )
liking the Ford to be back.
should be a classic. now just to sort out travel arrangement - hopefully.
oh and 2011 is still a good expectation for Toyota btw.

Re: Le Mans News
AJ i will bet agaisnt you. The stats are in our favour.
im not going to give you all the figures on here but as of 2005 8 Le Mans wins in as many years, not counting LMP2, GT1, GT2 victories; 24 world F1 titles, 14 Indy 500 victories, 22 WRC victories, 13 Dakars, 22 Touring car titles. Of course Audi have won lemans 2or3 more times since then i think. and we even won last year cos we helped supply diff for pug. and a F1 last year with brawn, year before that with mclaren. These are just 1st's. we dont count 2nd, or 3rd! we would loose count
AND thats only when we have supplied 100% systems. with just gearboxes, or diffs those stats are 10 fold greater.
look
http://www.xtrac.com/# - 'company profile', 'then why choose'. also take a look at xtrac champions.
oh and a little sumin i found out today for you. flappy padel systems. ie electronic aided transmission etc. the idea.... yes you guessed it. we came up with it. and now it is the standard format for most high performance track and production cars.
Thats my favourite
trust me. reliability wont see audi fail. escpecially for transmission issues. not so sure about that dodgy diesel engine
