both the cts-v and that ferrari look gorgous, i dont reli like the audi R18 and to be fair didnt reli like the R15 either

Shark fin's don't work on these, looks hideous.

You never know, it might take time for these new fins to sink in. We think they look awful now but after we get used to them, you think "Actually, I think this looks ok".
Take a look at F1 for example. Looked awful when they first appeared in 2009 but they look ok now. Mind you thats not a good metaphor. Because I still hate the narrow rear wings. lol

But the fins on the Prototypes are for safety measures, to prevent accidents like this occuring again:

Peugeot 90X.... erm.... 908 to feature same sized front and rear wheels. so seems Acura started something huge and now Audi and Peugeot are picking up the pieces.

Oh yeah, apart from the fin it looks good. Maybe It's because I'm not used to seeing them on prototypes. It will probably grow on me.

Most F1 teams have ditched the fin, so it obviously doesn't do that much . The only team I'm aware of that will be running it is Red Bull...though I don't think it runs completely to the rear wing any more. Or maybe I've missed some rule change.

Yeah, teams are no longer allowed to have the fin joined to the wing.

But as I said, the fin is mandatory in LMP1 and 2

yeah i think they look hideous as well but if it makes the cars safer I'm all for it dont get me wrong after seeing ortelli's crash it proved how strong and safe those cars are but probably never would have happend if the car had a shark fin. but this isn't the only time sports cars have had a shark fin, lets not forget the 1998 Daytona 24 Hour and Sebring 12 hour winning Dallara/Ferrari 333sp. Seen below at early hours of sunday moring of the '98 Rolex 24.
