I found an interesting article today.
http://www.endurance-info.com/version2/actualite-endurance-7767.html
(translated from French to English)
Level 5 Motorsports goes to the HPD ARX LMP2-01g at Silverstone.

Level 5 Motorsports will not be present this weekend at Mosport for the fourth round of the American Le Mans Series. The U.S. team will not stop the season so far as a new car will be aligned at the Six Hours of Silverstone, with an HPD-01g-ARX (LMP2), all in collaboration with Honda Performance Development ( En Français ). The car is then committed to Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans, then to Zhuhai for the final round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Note that two cars will line up at Road Atlanta, and Laguna Seca. Scott Tucker explains the reasons for this choice: "We looked at all perspectives and there is no doubt that the Honda package will be leading LMP2. We saw that we could win this year with the Honda engine and there is still room for development. The combination of chassis and engine HPD has proven to be the best over the years. We are confident in our decision in mid-season. "

The "cost-capped" LMP2 will be respected, Level 5 booked the first two chassis products. "We believe that our best chance for the remaining races for 2012 and ILMC" says David Stone, Team Manager of the team. The first frame will be issued shortly before Silverstone, directly in the workshops of Wirth Research. The three drivers take the opportunity to test the simulator Nick Wirth. Level 5 Motorsports will make more intensive practice sessions in order to be ready for 2012. It should end up in the tub Scott Tucker, Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa.

Yea, no kidding, Level 5 must have enough cars to start their own racing series by now.

Any news about the car though? How is it different than the ARX-01d that Strakka and RML run?

Well he does Ferrari Challenge as well. Saw Scott Tucker at Ferrari days at Laguna Seca when I went. I thought they had to choose what chasis and engine combo they wanted and had to stick with it the whole ILMC?

Audi ran the R15+ at Sebring even though they were an ILMC entry.

You're probably right, but it would be nice to see a more noticeable change in the aero kit, maybe following the ARX-01e's example.

Why did it take them this long to realize that the AMR-One is a disaster? They should have switched back to their Lolas after the Le Mans test for the rest of the season to give themselves more time to work the kinks out of the new car. Better late then never though I suppose.

Because I'd rather not just throw away a multi-million dollar project after a test.

I'm not saying throw it away, I'm saying test it for a year like Audi and Peugeot do with their new cars. In the mean time they'd be running Lolas. Once they get the AMR-One up to pace, by all means, bring it to the races.

I hope Kimi won't be replacing any of the works Peugeot drivers that got canned after this year's race. I really can't see him being that much of a team player going along with how they run the 3 works cars.

If they got him, Loeb, and someone like Valentino Rossi in a 4th car tho, run by Oreca or somebody, they would be unstoppable.

It doesn't really matter that Kimi's not a team player, i think he's a lot more relaxed since he left F1 and joined the WRC, Kimi would work extremely well with the teams engineers and would be the quickest driver in the field easily, and just imagine how quick he'd be in the ILMC round at Spa!

^ I'm almost certain Loeb will be in a Pug at some point. But Rossi I believe has some kind of agreement or something with Ferrari. He's tested in their F1 cars many times after winning the MotoGP championships. Plus he has sports car racing experience in a F430 in the 6 Hours of Vallelunga from 2009.
