Re: TCC S9 Laptimes
Yup, a car that was written off before the season as being hopeless and 3 seconds off the pace and then became one of the main championship challengers in the hands of Mad Dog and Amarth. And a car that's still on the car list at the same PI, did any of the people moaning about their cars a) look at previous seasons results or b) even test different cars out before the season?

Yes the Megane is a quick car BUT IS BY NO MEANS THE QUICKEST.
The SEAT, Both Kias, The 3 Hondas, BMW 1M, Volvo S60, Veloster are all just as quick if not quicker on certain tracks, Even the Pug RCZ can match it.
Your getting tired of this debate because you would have to work twice as hard to even get one of those cars back up to the pace you can run in the megane.. The megane has the fastest base tune and possibly the easiest to work with... Lap times are not comparable when someone is storming of 1-2 seconds faster than mid pack runners.. But as you stated, it's only on certain tracks.. The megane sets a fast and competitive lap time round every track, and with a bit of tweaking, the fastest lap round every track.. If your so bored of the debate about which cars are fast and which aren't, change to a RWD at the mid way point, then see how you fair up against the rest of the field.. You seem to of named 7 FWD's and 2 RWD's, which shows the dominance a FWD car has.. Changed to the 135i or the Insignia... It would be fun watching you struggle for Lobby A in a car that you know can't compete.. rant over.
Sorry, But your wrong.
I wouldn't have to work twice as hard to get any of the cars I mentioned to the same pace as the Megane, I'll concede that with a few cars finding the perfect tune/build would take abit longer but it wouldn't be a struggle.
In a STOCK SEAT with just a build I was running 18 flats at Cat Nat and can get within half a second of the Megane at Laguna.

Yup, the Insignia was my 4th quickest car out of the 30+ in testing for S8 (about 0.1/0.2s behind the Cupra I went for in the end)

No, that just proves your not as slow in a FWD car. You're still 2 seconds off the pace in FWD, and 3 seconds off in RWD. RWD cars won the most races last season, but yeah sure make them faster
that was also a RWD car that everyone over looked and underestimated, god we gotta love the swedish guys

Re: TCC S9 Laptimes
Just done a quick test with the Volvo a 34.5 after 3 or 4 laps with tweak's made before each lap. I'm not sure what's the best lap is here though but I'm happy.

Managed a 1:34:6 after changing the steering deadzone... I guess the steering makes all the difference... I can still find time with a more dedicated setup... I'll be happy with a 1:33:9 when I get it

Re: TCC S9 Laptimes
I should be returning to my Sunday driving ways on Saturday hopefully. To be honest I am not to fussed with my lap times as I found in Laguna after doing mid 34s through out testing then in qually hitting a 33.6 I rely on luck not constant testing never lets me down lol.

haha true that, constant testing can make you over confident and end up messing ur cornering and so forth well i managed a 1:33:2 around Nurg Short what im happy with same tune as Motegi also maybe a few tenths here and there with a few tweaks

I shall be doing some testing on Monday a Tuesday I'll give you a shout then but testing for me gets boring after 4 laps which is another reason I don't do much.

Re: TCC S9 Laptimes
The car list is balanced but I think it would have been nice to see the established 'fast' cars get a small PI drop to promote the use of everything else that is on the car list and hasn't been used for much of the the past 2 seasons without hurting those cars too much. I'm sure that some people look at what has been fast previously and shortlist what car to use based on that.
There's no doubt that the cars like the Ceed, Koup, Veloster, RCZ, Focus ST, DS4 etc. are quick but people probably don't think they are as fast as the Megane, Seat, Civic, BMW etc. and have no incentive to use something else.
Last round's A Lobby had 8 Meganes out of 11 cars. When other cars are just as fast I find it a little disappointing to see so many of them. You could take pictures and be excused for thinking it's the Renault Megane Cup.
Anyway, I did a 1:33.5xx in 5 laps of pre-season testing. Shame I can't race this one because of work because I really enjoy the track.

Managed a 1:34:1xx round Nurburg short.. Taking lines differently and could still adapt to some changes still... Could of been a 1:33:9 If I didn't mess up the last chicane...

Re: TCC S9 Laptimes
Iv tried. Practically every car on the list at nurb and came to the conclusion I'm sh#@t at forza lol...people like nightmare an mad dog and others that fall in to the A lobby regulars are just faster people have to accept it or put more time an effort in to the game...me on the other hand don't really care at my times as I come on for a laugh and to chat with like minded people and have a fun race after all its only a game not real life...

I totally agree about there being too many Megane's on the track, it's like the biggest cheat car in there because it's so easy to drive and tune and would be awesome to see everyone drive different cars make it more interesting for the spectators and those within the media team to enjoy. When racing in A lobby at Laguna the lobby was mainly Megane's and 1 Seat and 3 RWD like boring haha that my view.

An idea would be to drop the megane out of next seasons tcc and find a replacement that no one would think of there must be so many to choose from...
