Nice, but to be fair things usually have a habit of getting by Joe Hart eventually.

It appears that project cars is pretty life like. I mean.... number 88, GT race, Aston Martin, difficult to pass even when you are ahead..... sounds familiar to all my last races #ShrinkingSteven

Re: Project CARS.
Does this release Monday? I pre-ordered it last week. Although I'm probably too busy to actually play it

My copy is en route!
Good times ahead. Sorry to our US members who have to wait a bit longer but I guess this is payback for all the films and games you normally get before us

Since SMS is a UK based studio, it only makes sense that the game would drop there first. I can wait the 4 extra days......sorta....

But we already know it isn't lol. Just because we've seen alot of it unlike 4 years of forza development behind closed doors doesnt mean its gonna let us down
After seeing how they responded through development upto release and continuing to feedback it's clear they have nailed it so far.

Yeah, and I'm not sure how super funny it would be to see the one real competition to push Forza and other developers to offer a game that appeals to fans of motorsports, instead of fans of car bowling and tag, fall on its face. Maybe you meant cry?

Re: Project CARS.
Initial reviews are very positive, Metacritic average of 86% so far - that's higher than iRacing (79%), Forza 5 (79%) and GT5 (84%). Not bad for a game made on 1/20th of the budget of GT5 (4m euros compared to $60m). There are some bugs that need addressing, but work is already progressing on this behind the scenes - it won't be a 'release and forget' game, the developers are committed to the project and want to deliver the best motorsport title possible, across 3 platforms (which has never been done before). Project CARS has had lots of sceptics, but it's reviewing really well
Couple of reviews:
Attack of the Fan Boy (90%):
"The collaboration between Slightly Mad Studios and its community of fans have led to fantastic results. Project Cars is one the best, and most authentic racing experiences we've seen in quite some time."
http://attackofthefanboy.com/reviews/project-cars-review/
PC Gamer (83%)
"It’s crystal clear that Slightly Mad knows what its hardcore audience wants, and I’m really happy that it stuck to its guns in order to deliver it. That’s pretty rare nowadays, especially when your vision comes at the expense of wider audience appeal. With more content on the way and a hardcore community already set to get involved in its 24-player lobbies (*PC only), I’m really looking forward to seeing how this game evolves over the next few weeks and months."
http://www.pcgamer.com/project-cars-2/
Eurogamer (review in progress - want to test out multiplayer first, and they don't give a score anymore):
"Project Cars puts the sport back into motorsport games"
"It's simply the best single-player interpretation of motorsport in a video game since 2006's wonderful TOCA Race Driver 3. It's also a strikingly and entertainingly different proposition from the car-collecting grind espoused by its console rivals. Project Cars has more, and more relevant, competition on PC - the brilliant simulators RaceRoom, iRacing and Assetto Corsa - but the generosity and strength of its career mode, with those large fields of capable AI drivers, stand out and earn it a place at that table."

Re: Project CARS.
that's probably the most insightful article I've read so far.
I'm glad they delayed the game! I mean, there is SO MUCH we can do with it for TORA it's insane.
Sure, lack of money in Career mode, no timed races and no livery editor are a bummer, but this is their first individual effort on a game that I am aware, and there will always be 'something missing' when it's released, it's gaming
but what they have given us is fantastic, and I don't doubt it'll continue to improve as the months/years pass on
Other note; the car list is rather small (60), but beside it missing some crucial cars (Ferrari, Lemon like cars), NASCAR, Indy and V8s (although we know they're in production) I love the car list too as it's what WE use

Re: Project CARS.
Just you guys wait till you find out what we have coming
It's such a different way of developing a title, I can understand why some may have become 'bored' or disenfranchised with it but from what I've seen it's certainly worth the wait.
Looking forward to my physical copy dropping here

Re: Project CARS.
I'll be waiting for you guys to review the game and see what it's capable of on Xbone before I buy another copy. Will make do with PC for now
