There is going to have to be a greater degree of driver respect on the tight circuits. You do also have the extra option to flash lights in the event of traffic. But as with many TORA races, communication is key.
With major incidents, the standard TORA rules apply same with track limits. The white line denotes the edge of the circuit and should not be abused. Continuous offenders will, obviously, be punished.
communication is the key but if im right you cant always hear other people in game chat as its glitched and if the lobbies are around 14 people and probs wont hear half off them because i have experienced this myself in normal multiplayer lobbies, sitting int two parties is not reliable enough and how can you prove if people use run off as you cant spectate others than yourself in a saved replay and i dont think you can spectate during a race since you cant join a lobby if a race is in progress unless its a P or Q session,i can imagine all people are using run off to the games advantage until it tells you your lap is dirty.

Until the game is patched its pointless having any form of lobby racing until then, as it is, the game in multiplayer lobby is almost unplayable!!!
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
well we still have some time till the first race, and there is a patch about to be pushed. so hopefully some of the multiplayer and controller issues are resolved...

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
There's a certain degree of common sense to be employed with the majority of your questions Soundwave. So engage that and see what happens...
As regards damage, yes it will be on. If you choose to pit to attempt to fix said damage that's your choice. If it falls with the standard pit window then that counts as your mandatory stop.
I'd like to think if you came across debris on track the logical thing to do would be avoid it. Y'know, common sense again.
We also have the advantage of being able to talk between drivers, something real drivers can't do. So, lapped traffic needs to hold it's line and the faster cars work around. Again, like we have for years (without the benefit of lights I might add). Again, common sense.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I was in a lobby with some of my casual friends this evening and the lag was kinda random for each of them, I never experienced severe lag myself however I did notice that when a car in front of me was lagging it did not do the stupid moving hit-box that occurs in Forza. Hopefully the patch will address it first time round.
On another note, I have blown a tire off from wear just to see how the car behaves in the event of a missing wheel. It was quite manageable with a missing front left and I actually did a lap before I noticed I had a missing tire... Lol. I didn't experience any crazy pull to one side, so limping cars back to the pits should be pretty safe if you keep to the outside of the racing line.

Call me devil's advocate but what if the car is so severely damaged on a small track (like Oulton) that slowly limping back to the pits will endanger the other drivers?Matt wrote:As regards damage, yes it will be on. That's why they have yellow flags...... But on another note you can't see flashing lights if your on bonnet view or 3rd person unless its night.

Almost all tracks on pCARS have excess runoff (grass or otherwise) on either side of the track. Oulton is the same so if you think you can limp your car back to the pits then to do it safely, just stay off the track (or close to the edge so the damaged car keeps a small bit of speed while causing the least amount of road usage impeding race pace vehicles). Yes it's a small place and we do have big cars but common sense is something we all have and for a very long time TORA has operated largely without incident because the drivers we have here do everything they do safely. I'm willing to bet that just because we're on a different game that it won't change how responsible everyone is.
I do however want to express how badly I think this series will go if at least some of the multiplayer problems aren't sorted out before we start. Game chat is a must and lag spikes need to leave. We all know that SMS is working on fixing these problems (and the controller stuff) so we shouldn't have to wait long for that. They've also been asked for multi-player replays so that you can see who's doing what after the race is done so that'll happen in time. SMS is working on the stuff we're all talking about but it'll take a fair amount of time before it's all done and race ready. We just have to be patient is all.

Maybe you should heed your own advice, instead throwing together a new series with old rules... Should be a degree of common sense
These things should be in the rules, because you will always have scenarios arise and just because I or you know what to do. Doesn't mean the next driver and so on.
You've been so intent on trying to bring us a great series but trying to rush these things has never turned out well.

+1
Its clear that getting this series going ASAP is more to do with the involvement with the real world British GT than anything else but I hope and pray the patches come long before this series begins although given the fact SMS are still working on the main patch right now then they need to test it after which Bandai state they will test it and after all that Microsoft will also test it leaves me in doubt that the main patch will be ready and rolled out in time for the start of this series.

You can save multiplayer replays already

What will happen is that on Saturday, we will post the weather forecast based on data from Accuweather.com for each venue

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
It's a shame there's no concession for those of us who can't make every round of the championship, it makes our participation comparatively trivial.
I wouldn't presume to lobby for change at this late stage but I would like to ask the rule-makers to consider implementing something for future series so the shift-workers, family men/women and the unfortunate no-shows can still compete when other commitments take precedence.
Note: this doesn't have to take the form of a dropped round/s, three driver teams are more inclusive and mean people like myself can still compete in a championship with a vested interest.

Appreciate the comments and we'll certainly look at it for future series.
Hope the rounds you're able to make are fun.

Ran through the lobby settings. Helps us figure do run through sessions.
Question on using existing on penalties, could that be turned off during the race only?
And why no mechanical failure?

I don't believe there is a timed race option in Pcars at the moment. The races are by laps. They are listed in the second post here:

They're in laps worked out to be as close as possible to 30 mins based on fastest GT3 times from the leaderboards.
Hope that helps
