but people in b lobby would have finished infront of people in A, does that mean they are behind them overall or is it just sectioned off into each lobby ,A,B,C...

Getting rear needed by GT3s on the parade lap because they stayed on the grid as everyone set off and then muscled their way through GT4s hitting about 3 of us, then subsequently tried to rear end me again whilst overlapping me... worst GT3 driver I've ever come across, needs banning for s**t like that!

Meanwhile in lobby C we have very clean racing in GT4 even though theoretically we are the worst

I was one of the slowest gt4 in c lobby and I noticed at lap 10 when I was planning on pitting that neither SIM damage or quickstops were active my race settings are always at fuel and tires minimum and i had nothing I guess this happened before to Matt in another series didn't make a difference in my finishing position as I finished where I started and even I got pushed by a couple gt3 and gt4 just because I was kicked from party chat doesn't mean I'm not paying attention hopefully the racing and time wise will be better next race

That's why qualifying in lobby A is important, no matter where in lobby A you finish you are better off, than if you win lobby B, and thats your reward for qualifying in lobby A. I personally like that system, It's been this way since the first events i did here.

The enduros that are distance based are a prime example of all lobbies being capable of winning, and in the past teams from B or below have won.

It largely depends on the series, the TEC is a big series so we have made it the way it is such that anyone can win in theory. But others are more appropriate to have a straight lobby cut.

Is there any chance of running quali on Saturday night, then if there's an issue like this again, there's 24 hours to sort it and get everything working.

I understand this may not work for everyone, but maybe a lobby for those who can't make it on Sunday at 7ish would then be possible? Meaning everything could then run a bit smoother

Race nights generally run with no issues on a Sunday only event. The issue was too many people signing up late on Sunday after I'd provisionally set up the lobbies in the morning. Generally we don't get that many extra people/changes late so close to the start.
This will be changed to give us time to get lobbies set.
Essentially sign ups for race day will close 8pm on the Saturday with no exceptions. As there is two weeks between races there's not really any reason why someone can't sign up well in advance Wink

When it runs smoothly there's generally only about 10-15 mins max between qualy and races. I always aim to have a whole race night completed within two hours.

A lot of people seemed more annoyed at the lack of commication, and lack of back up plan

Moving on however, once the Racing got underway it was extremely enjoyable. Very close side by side battles.

Would love to see the stream, I think it would have made some good viewing?

Lobby c was great I had a bit of a shunt from the side but apart from that was great had a few close moments with speedfreak which was great hats off to him as he is a very clean racer

Sadly the back up plan was what took so long to implement. Wink

It's fine when you're handling say, 20 drivers max but when it's nearer 60 and in multiple classes it muddied the waters! (Particularly after a day celebrating a wedding anniversary with my wife - she puts up with a lot!!)

Thats all well and good, but it you don't need to be a good GT3 driver to realise that maybe you shouldn't plough through weaving GT4s and maybe you should wait for the motherf***ing straight... and over take them efficiently instead of causing damage to them and ruining their race... but it's okay, because you're not a GT3 driver so your [Censored] stupidity can be forgiven

Actually had bloody good race in the Bentley. Three wide into Paddock Hill on the first racing lap was squeaky bum time but we all got through it.
The GT4s behaved really well as I hunted down F4H Lightning (never something I thought I'd say!) Only one Aston moved on me into Sheene as I passed them. I know who it was and I know why they did it...apart from that it was excellent.
Just wish I had qualified better - race pace was Lobby 2 standard. Hey ho - that's racing Smile

You mean the car with less grip tried to get round the fast curve by heading for the apex rather than understeering off to let you pass on the inside? (As happened to the same Aston driver at Hawthorn when passed by Lightning)?
Interested to see what the "reason you know they did it" is if "taking the racing line" is not it....
