TORA IndyCar Series - General Chat

Yeah I ran a couple short forced stock races at homestead with some guys a couple weeks ago and it was like an old IRL pack race. Should provide some exciting racing. Look out for the side draft, because your car will tend to drift up the track when someone is on your outside in the turns, so be wary of that. Especially for controller users like me.

I withdraw from IndyCar
Some things have come to light in which I do not like at all.
I also have some big fish to fry

Just a request, but could we keep it quiet during qualifying? Besides generally being the respectful thing to do, qualifying should not be social hour (and nor should the race, for that matter). I understand the need for banter and the like, but keeping it off track is probably best for everyone. Cheers

Agreed 100%. Lobby B was also like an episode of Graham Norton. I love that show, but not when I'm trying to defend my position.

Did anybody get a replay of A lobby? Would love to have it

I am looking to jump into this series. Anyone have a team with an opening or and privateers that would be willing to throw a team together?

Agreed 100%.  Lobby B was also like an episode of Graham Norton.  I love that show, but not when I'm trying to defend my position.

You know that there's no rule say that you can't request quiet from the rest of the lobby. At any point you can say "hey guys, you need to shut up for a minute." Personally I make sure every quali lobby is silent but I don't mind race banter as it doesn't affect me. I do know that it can affect other people like yourselves and that's ok. You do have to remember though that some people's fun comes from just bantering while driving so it's swings and roundabouts.

Next time you're in a lobby and you need quiet, ask for it and the host should tell everyone to be quiet. Hopefully that solves problems.

While I would prefer races be quiet, I know that's not going to happen, which is fine. I can usually block it out. But this is me requesting qualifying lobbies be quiet out of respect for our fellow racers

You have assumed I didn't request quiet. I did ask for quiet (anybody in Lobby B can attest to that, I'm the one who said "I'm old and I can't concentrate"), and there was quiet for about 3 minutes, then it started again. Lobby host didn't say anything.

The Indy 500 is still on for this year, yeah? Any idea when info will come out? 😁

Yes still happening once I get some free time i'll post details of it been busy with life and a kart racing program so my time has been limited lately but it is less than a month away!!!

Me too. I wonder if has to do with the # of replays you have saved. There used to be a message that you can't download anymore replays, then that message went away, so I assumed there was no limit. Maybe there IS a limit, but we just don't get a message and it won't work. I tried deleting all but 2 replays to see if that helps for next time. Half the fun for me is watching replays to see everything I missed.
