Used it last year and it was fine - deal with it

The entire course is basically a hairpin lolHCR Motorhead wrote:The anticlockwise one that has a bunch of hairpins on sector 1

Could we not just edit the calendar to state clearly which track is being used and avoid people needing to ask? Just saying.
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I second this... Indianapolis Road Course is pretty vague. Changing it to the proper layout will avoid the confusion.VPR AnonCaliga wrote:Could we not just edit the calendar to state clearly which track is being used and avoid people needing to ask? Just saying.

Hitting between 1:33 and 1:34 consistently but think more time can be gained 😉
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
So I'll be missed possibly all the round of this series, due to golf I have to do every Sunday's for Special Olympic. Good luck to you all, Lethal Gaming will be back next British GT series.

Why is my GamerTag written in green in the sign in for indy? Pretty sure it's never been green before.

Since its race week and all... How do these hour long races work? Is it the same as usual as far as qualifying? Are we to make 2 quick stops?

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
To clarify, the race will be an hour long though will be set just longer than that.
There is ONE mandatory pit stop (though expect many will need one more to cover off tyres.
Once the hour has been completed cars will cross the line and form up in T1 as with usual BGT rules.
The results will then be taken and added to Live Timing

Please also note there ARE BoP amendments for the Porsche RSR and Mercedes SLS
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Can you guys just clarify cars as I'm wanting to know if you can change car? I realise any points scored so far would be lost is that correct?

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
First of all, since people sometimes take things like this a bit too personal, please don't. But how on earth can you change the BoP after one race? Of course one car might've done better than expected. That makes sense since this isn't a one car spec league, and cars have different strengths. With the "easy" traction zones, and plenty of straight at VIR. Of course the Porsche and Merc where going to do well! This are the kind of tracks where these cars excel. But on Indy, they'll stuggle compared to the more handling based cars. You can't keep nerfing cars after each race, that doesn't work.
Of course, if one car proves to be OP halfway trough the season, revisit it, and update the BoP. But please, don't do it after one f*cking race. Everyone here was given plenty of time to test all the cars. So in theory, everyone was able to pick the fastest car (for him). I don't see why the people who chose the Merc snd Porsche should be punished one race into the season? I know the tire size reduction probably is a matter of two tenths. But still...

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
You have 11 posts so I assume you are new. This is standard procedure in TORA BGT.... The first race is used to test all the cars in actual race conditions. If it is determined that one car is does much better than all the others, BoP changes are made. These changes don't happen after every race.DOR Martijn2702 wrote:First of all, since people sometimes take things like this a bit too personal, please don't. Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Well, I'm not very active on the forums over here. Luckily it doesn't take that many messages to sign up for races.
This being the standard procedure, still doesn't mean I've to agree with it. Or think it's a good, or fair, idea.
Another problem is the tuning. Some of us weren't using our own tunes. The tunes we had, have now become useless. Also given the (relative) short notice, some people just haven't had the time to build a tune for thenselves, with the new specs. Sorry, but looking at everything, I really don't see how a measure, that will take away 2-3 tenths. Weighs up to all the problems it causes...

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
It was announced one the first of this month that the builds were changing. You and everyone else have had five days to either redo your tune, which shouldn't be much of anything considering how minor the changes are, or get with your tuner to have this resolved.DOR Martijn2702 wrote:Well, I'm not very active on the forums over here. Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I've a question regarding race start......
I was informed (as were a few others in my lobby at the time) around 12 months ago, that on a rolling start, you Maintain the pace set by the lobby host, until your car passes the start line. Now an incident tonight got me looking into this, as a few disagree with me (and what I was told).
The Tora rules state...
7.4.7 The driver in pole position, or the lobby host, will ask if the last place driver is lined up in formation. If the last place driver is confirmed to be in formation, the lead drivers will accelerate after clearly instructing to the rest of the lobby the “Green Green Green” command. Race conditions will begin upon “Green Green Green!” command.
---------
Now I can't remember 'green green green' ever happening, but in this circumstance, you can race from green, so can overtake at will (cause nothing says you can't, and it says race condition from that point.
Anyway... We'll ignore this, as BGT has its own set of start rules.
BGT rules....
Towards the end of the lap, the lobby host will request drivers to form up in 2x2 formation. EXTREME CARE MUST BE TAKEN.
- The driver in last place must confirm to lobby host once all cars are in position.
- The rolling grid will then start racing as each pair crosses the start/finish line. No passing is allowed prior to crossing the start/finish line.*
----------
So in these rules, each pair of cars start racing as they cross the line, not other cars, their pair.
My point here, is that all cars should be going over the start finish line at the predetermined speed, and most do.
Thoughts?

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Yes, the field should proceed to the race start at the set pace speed (usually 60 MPH), and then as each row hits the start/finish line, they accelerate and begin racing.
Anyone found to be rolling at a speed higher than the set pace speed or accelerating and overtaking before their row hits the line can and will be penalized if a stewards inquiry with evidence is sent in.
