Whose got real track experience?

So, I'm curious as to who all here has actually taken to an actual track?

I'll start:
I raced dirt tracks for several years in the early 00s, starting in Quarter Midgets and later moving on to 250cc Mini-Sprints. My career highlights were 3 career feature wins in 1/4 midgets, and a podium finish in a regional event. No wins in Mini Sprints, but I battled my way to a 7th place points finish at my local track in my only full time season. Never had the greatest equipment, but still ran up front occasionally, and had a blast.

Who else currently races in real life or has before?

Wayyy back, I raced ovals, paved and dirt, along with some figure 8s.

I've got 2 and 4 wheel experience.

2 wheel - I raced motocross for 10 years. Raced all over the East Coast US.
4 wheel - 5 laps on the Nurburgring in a Suzuki Swift from Rent4Ring, and 2 days in a Audi R8 at Sonoma.

Nice. I always wanted to race on a paved oval, but never got the chance. Did you do any trailer races in the figure 8s? I remeber seeing those on speedvision at like 3 am when I was a kid.

Sweet. Been wanting to do a track day for a while now, but as far as know, there's nothing near me where I really can. I'd have to travel.
What class did you run in motocross?

Had a lot of time on the drag strip. Did some auto crossing and a few open track days at Sebring and Daytona.

Some laps at Nuerburgring and Ahvenisto in my old supra.

I have had a lot of track time.

I started out drag racing at WIR Wisconsin international raceway in Kaukauna I ran 3 years for "points" then after that just when I had time.

I moved into road racing after that, had my SCCA license and a PCA club license. I raced and still own a 1983 Camaro SCCA AS classed car and an old Beach MK5C converted to super vee specs for vintage racing. I now just do track days here and there though none in the past few years. I am only 90 minutes from Road America so I am there most big race weekends and have been around the track in a wide variety of cars.

+1 for SCCA!  I have been racing road courses for about 10 years now, but never more than 3 weekends a year (too $$).  I did a little in the mid-west in SCCA's 'national' series, but have never had the funds to be competitive on that level.  Regionally I don't have much competition in my class, maybe 2-3 other cars but like I said, it's a money thing.  
I like to think I have room for improvement (nice way to say I'm slow hah!), hence why I'm here!!  Sim racing is great (cheap) training for driving on a real track.
