Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
There have been quite a few updates and amendments to the rulebook.
A re-read is strongly advised.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
oh fudge, collisions are on in quali- there should be a system where you start in grid order with a 5 second gap between each car

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
The main reason why we have had collisions on this time out is for added realsim. The whole point of Le Mans is the need to get by slower traffic and manage track position so it was felt this was an important feaure to include.
This is helped by the use of a time limit rather than laps so people can always nip into the pits, chuck on some fresh tyres near the end of the session and try and get some clear air for a good lap.
More tactical, more real, more fun

Was this not banned because it was far too quick? Especialy in the hands of Ian.
If your worried about our Nissan, then please ban 4WD instead of introducing more of them..

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
I agree with nicky on this one. The main idea behind removing this car from the list was because it was too quick, if this is in response to the times that the nissan is able to do then ban all 4-wheel drive's instead of adding another to the list

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Agreed. Seems a bit fishy that its introduced the day before the race and only one of them is up for grabs.

We are prepared to give up our Nissans, but only if 4WD is banned completely, thats all were saying!
And one more thing
Hmm, by introducing a car that dominated season 3 of the GTC, and then not even making it public BEFORE you picked the car..
I will take back what im saying about the speed of the Porsche, but I will still stay where I am with this matter. After all, you guys said it was unfair for me to get a Viper in the GTC before the car change period, I had not raced yet, and TORA said i needed to give other drivers a chance..

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
ive managed a 1:59.745 i think it is. How will adding another faster car make GT2 fairer surely it will only make the slower people even further behind. And like nicky i believe you either ban the porche or remove all 4WD, im more than happy to use this car with RWD drivetrain despite its poor performance with this build.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
i can see you point nicky thats y we are reviewing it now, i can see your lap time but i was wanting to know what adam has managed. for the recored my idea behind gt2 was to have it as a AWD only as some drivers liek it beter, just to give ppl the option, as you dont wana do 50 laps tin a car you dont lik, but again my point about fairness what the 997 was banned as kris one was doin 1.59.9s in it, time which i was not doin, and note that was the champ winning car from last seaon. When i was doin testin last night i managed a 1.59.589 in the 350Z which worried us. that is y we are adding in other cars so one person doent run away with it, cos i am sure you no adam is a quicker driver than i am.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Just a further point but the fairlady suffers from massive amounts of understeer on other circuits so as a result of this in testing with lfcnicklfc his audi R8 has been close to if not quicker than our own car. However mine and nickys previous point still stands and from talking to lfcnick another 4WD contender he to is all for a ban on this drivetrain.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Im all for banning 4WD. if you guys are running 59's then thats level with what pretty much the whole GT1 field is running.
for the sake of the other GT2 runners 4WD should be banned
for the sake of the other GT2 runners 4WD should be banned

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
The idea behind GT2 was to have it as the AWD alternative to GT1 so it will not be getting banned we are just tryin to get a balance.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Mabey we should look at more different 4WD's, and convertable-to-4WD's? (Like the Fairlady)
