TEC R2 12 Hours of Sebring - Driver's Briefing and Track Limits
Welcome to the second round of the 2021 TORA Endurance Championship: the TORA 12 Hour Revival of Sebring! Endurance racing is in the very heart of Sebring, with much of the construction of the track being inspired by Le Mans for the purpose of having endurance events in America. In the same way, Sebring is also at the very heart of TORA's endurance racing. TORA has run some type of endurance race at Sebring every year since 2009 when we ran our first 12-hour event. Sebring was the first round of the first season of the TORA Endurance Championship in 2012. This year is no different, with the highest team and driver sign-ups for any event in TORA history. As TORA Endurance races continue to grow, you can count on Sebring to always be on the calendar.
Qualifying - This will be the typical 1-Hour Endurance Qualifying. Drivers will have 45 minutes to set their fastest clean lap. We will be adding the best qualifying results from each team, so remember that more than one driver has to take part in qualifying. Remember that drivers should be/appear online 15 minutes prior to the start of qualifying, and should keep in-lobby chat to a minimum.
Race - This is a 12-hour Endurance race. Drivers will be competing in 6 stints of two hours each. However, drivers are reminded that the stint actually only lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes. Drivers are expected to be familiar with the Rules and Regulations come race time, so please review them before race day. A reminder that drivers are not allowed to double stint during the halfway point between the final two stints, stint 5 and stint 6, so we can try and get the race back on track and finish on time. Drivers are also encouraged to read this: Multi-Class Racing: A Reminder in Etiquette.
Pit Stops - Both classes will have to do 3 pit stops during each stint. Remember that drivers will not be permitted to drive back to the pit entrance once they pass it. If they miss the pit entrance, drivers will have to drive around the track again to get back to the pit entrance.
Assists - The usual assist limits will be in place for this race. The only assists that will be banned during this race are stability management, assisted steering, assisted braking, friction assist, and collision assist. All other assists will be allowed.
Stint Starting Procedures - Stint 1 will start with a typical 80 mph / 129 kph 2x2 Rolling Start. Stint 2 thru 6 will be a single file start, starting as cars go under the bridge on Gurney Bend as shown below. Drivers are not allowed to exceed 60 mph / 97 kph before exiting Turn 3. Remember that drivers are not to accelerate to race pace until THEY pass the designated start point.
If anyone has further questions, please post them in this thread. Good luck, and I will see you all on track.

Sebring Track Limits
For this race, we are making clarifications as to track limits at specific sections of the track. If it is not specified, 2 wheels MUST remain on track at all times, designated by the lines on the outside of the track. Note: these track limits are for the race only. Most of these exceptions will dirty your lap in qualifying. You still must set a clean lap in qualifying.
For Turn One, drivers are allowed to use the track the whole way up to the inside wall.
Sunset Curve
For Sunset, drivers are allowed to use the track the whole way up to the inside wall.
When exiting Sunset, drivers are allowed to use the track the whole way up to the outside wall.
Finally, drivers are reminded that they must follow the pit exit the whole way to the end of the pit lane, marked by the cones. Even if the cones are gone, still use the whole pit exit marked by the yellow line. Here's a video to show an example.
I hope this clears everything up for everyone!

Re: TEC R2 12 Hours of Sebring - Driver's Briefing and Track Limits
During stints 2-6 can every car start to accelerate just passing the bridge or only the first car of the file passing under the bridge (and consequently every car few moments later)?

When YOU pass the bridge you accelerate.
Don’t forget to submit your stints, you haven’t done so yet.
