Yeah but the maufacturers are always going to support the most cost effective one and the one that provides them with the best returns and in reality F1 hasn't been doing that for ages.
It was only a matter of time really. Sad

I wonder if there will be several unexpected penalties and Williams or Force India win out the rest of the races.

i think to penalise them for standing up for what they want would be just petty and childish, so i expect something to happen. Razz

TBH i still dont think it will happen...
ferrari, mclaren and bmw will goto lms.
brawn, red bull and toro rosso will continue in f1.
toyota will go back into rally.
renault will be bought by flavio, and continue in f1

ITV must be laughing at the minute, the Beeb have got the coverage for another four years after this season and I'm sure its rumoured to cost over 30 million a year.

I don't think this breakaway series will happen either. I believe Brawn and Red Bull will stay in F1. There already was talk of Renault entering during the 24 hours, Ferrari dropped a few hints of entering Le Mans, Toyota has announced that they want to bring a hybrid to Le Mans and I think they currently have a Dome chassis that they are testing with.

Jenson's new helmet is pretty cool, dunno about "Push The Button" plastered all over it, but its at least a nice design Razz

And the new Red Bull nose looks rater silly, looks like some of their earlier seasons cars now with that big fat nose.

The Red Bull looks like its got a bit between its teeth lol. Which if their performance this morning is anything to go by.... they have!

I have most of the BAR Honda Button shirts that used almost every button gag there was going. There aint one out there that would suprise me.
I'll just be happy to see the headline "Button: Its all sewn up!"

Right guys I think tonight we will see Bernie step in and maybe presude FOTA to stay, if they do break away, were going to have another indy/champ car issue, fingers corssed and hopefully they will get max out they way.

I think persuading went out of the window:

FIA to sue over breakaway attempt.

Formula One's governing body, the FIA, says it will begin legal proceedings over plans to set up a rival world championship next year.

Looks good, especially the 3D map showing the cars positions. Would be very nice to have if you were trackside. But from what I can tell they want £5 for this per race or £20 the rest of the season. No thanks.

Virgin is still going to sponsor them for the rest of the season. With their success this year, I'm sure they can find another sponsor for next year.

YES! Very dominant and boring! Sleep
Halfway through the race, I did some house cleaning. I wanted this british GP to be great because of the fact it might be the last one there. But it wasn't to be fair. Vettel was way up in front. The rest of the field was either quite spread out or they couldn't overtake!
